"Initial measurements were taken at my house and carpet ordered.  One week later contracted carpet installer came but was concerned there wouldn't be enough carpeting for my 3 rooms.  As a result, he had to spend extra time cutting and lining up seams instead of just putting down one big piece.  Started at 10:30am and not finished till @4-5pm.  At least I know I didn't pay for any unnecessary remnants!  That being said, carpet installer "Phillip" did an excellent job and carpet looks great at what I feel was a very fair price.

"Tony did a wonderful job installing Ansley Cafe (wood look) tile in our basement. He's personable; a pleasure to work with. He was able to offer good advice for questions we had about a step and transition strips (new tile to old concrete floor). After the install, we had two small issues due to irregularities in our floor (concrete), which Tony came and fixed: no questions asked!! He gave us a great price. He did a beautiful job. We would definitely hire AZ Construction Services again."

"Mariana and Adrian are the best. I hired them to install hardwood flooring in my kitchen. They did such a fabulous job I did the bedroom too. Adrian is a true craftsman who pays attention to the detail. They are talented, caring, kind and trustworthy. They went out of their way to make sure everything was perfect. I would hire them again in a heartbeat. Absolutely the BEST!!!!!!"

FAQs for flooring install, repair, or refinish projects in Hammond, IN

Removing tile flooring is a messy job. Expect flying chip fragments, mortar dust, and plenty of debris. Protect the space with plastic sheeting and drop cloths, and gear up with goggles and a respirator before you start prying. Pros keep the mess in check by attaching industrial vacuums to their tools, a setup that captures dust at the source and leaves the work zone far cleaner than a DIY approach.

Removing the old tile first is almost always the smarter play. If you tile over worn or uneven flooring, the new surface can crack, pop, or sit higher than the surrounding rooms. Fixing that later costs far more, especially if you need to re-level the floor. By demoing the tile now, you get a flat, solid subfloor and avoid surprise repairs down the road.
