"Both Shane & BIll were totally professional, and cleaned up at the end of the job, including vacuuming the rug, & removing the drop cloths that has collected the shavings from cutting holes in the ceiling.  They worked efficiently with focus.  Bill in particular was a clear-headed problem-solver, and very thoughtful.  I remember him more than Shane because Bill was here twice, & Shane only once.
My only complaint is that the receptionist did not answer my call about the one recessed light having stopped working -- I  left the message on the office phone on Sunday, but end of week I'd not heard from them, so called again & the receptionist said she had forgot about my message.   Also, the first visit was to be between 8:00 - noon; by noon no one had appeared; so I called the office & was told that the electricians had been held up at a job; they got here about 2:00.  In the event that the technicians get delayed at a job, the office should notify the customers who have appointments after them that day so that the customers aren'e sitting home waiting for them -- it was frustrating to stay home so long when the office knew that the technicians would be late.

"Very good, almost great. The install team arrived on time, confirmed work order & started the job. In about 4.5 hrs, power was applied & we started to get heat. A quick overview of the HAVC system was given, balance paid all questions answered and there were smiles on most faces. The sales person described the operation of the new HAVC to be quieter than current system and it is. However, the term quieter was not expressed in db difference so a service tech came out and was able to discuss the issue. The whole evolution was a positive event and we will gladly refer Orbit Energy & Power LLC, as a HAVC company that I will work with again."

** A must read, especially any mothers concerned about child's heath!!**

We were very concerned with our baby's health in regards to his allergies to dust/mold when we turned on our heating system for the winter as he had an incident.  Steve was the second company we had come out to look at what our system needed to get ready for the winter season and to make sure all safe for our baby's health.

We went with Steve Faust company because he offered us everything the bigger company had suggested we needed plus extra items they did not address in their quote.  Steve Faust took the time to look over our system and really get into detail explaining to me ( which I have no prior knowledge of any of this stuff) so I could understand all of the areas of concern in our system.

Steve not only gave us a bid on everything we had gotten from the bigger company but also since he took ample time to research the system and take measurements, he noticed some major flaws in the system that no one had noticed before.  So needless to say, we went with Steve's Company.   AND he was thousands of dollars under the big company bid!!!

Now yes the new gadget thermostat is fun to talk about (above in description of work preformed)  But what I really want all my neighbors and friends to know is just what Steve did for me and my family.  The system he put in with the UV bulbs and dual filters that catch 99.9% of basically everything airborne (germs, viruses, dust, allergens, list goes on) .  The system completely removes it from our house. If a person comes in with a cold to our home, in less than one hour this system Steve installed with have it removed completely from the air within our home!!!!

In less than ONE WEEK, I noticed a huge difference in my baby's health.  He was sneezing less, fewer morning with red eyes, sleeping better, less congested.  Even my husband who has severe allergies noticed a difference for himself.  And for me, I haven't had to DUST as much!! From dusting 1-2 a week, at least,  Especially in bedrooms because as I said both my baby and husband are allergic to dust!  It has been at least 7 days until I had to dust and there was hardly any dust even then!!  Amazing.

Steve basically created a "bubble" in my home.  To say what that means to me as a mother, for someone to take the time and listen to my concerns about my child's heath and then create a customized system to ensure the health of my family in regards to air borne allergies...I cannot even express in words!

Steve's prices were unbeatable.  As I stated before, he was thousands of dollars under the bigger company proposal and he added additional services / items that the bigger company did not!!!! His turn around time was very quick, within 3 days the system was up and running.  His service is PHEMONINAL!

If you need any work done at your home , Steve Faust is the person to call.  And not only for heating/Ac work, but any work in your house you need done.  His list goes on for all the services he provides.

FAQs for home energy audit projects in Harrisburg, PA

To prepare for a home energy audit, begin by preparing your space. Clear any obstructions around the attic, basement, ducts, crawl space, appliances, windows, and doors. Gather all your energy bills from the last year and information on home upgrades if you’ve made any changes. If you’ve previously had an audit done, include that information as well.

Finally, be prepared to discuss any questions or concerns you have. If you’ve noticed a rise in your energy bills, hot or cold areas in your home, or unusual sounds from ducts or appliances, make a list to discuss with your auditor.

How often you should get an energy audit depends on the age and condition of your home. New homes with no issues are recommended to get an audit every five years, while older homes should audit every two to three years. If you’ve noticed any changes to your energy bills or other areas of concern, you should get an audit as soon as possible. It’s also a good idea to conduct an audit if you’ve made changes or upgrades to your home, such as installing a new furnace, windows, or doors.

An energy audit takes three to four hours to complete. Your auditor sets up testing equipment, conducts an exhaustive walk‑through inspection, and performs all required evaluations to identify energy loss points. The audit follows a systematic review that includes visual assessments, mechanical tests, and detailed documentation, resulting in a precise report of improvement recommendations.

You can schedule a home energy audit any time of the year—it all depends on what's convenient for you. That said, timing it right can help you tackle issues before they impact your comfort and bills. If you live in a colder climate and want to avoid high heating costs in the winter, getting an audit in the summer allows you to make improvements before the temperature drops. On the contrary, if hot summers are your concern, a spring audit can help you stay cool and save on air conditioning.

To find a qualified home energy auditor, start by searching for local energy auditors with great reviews and recognized certifications like those from the Building Performance Institute (BPI). These credentials ensure they're qualified and can help you qualify for rebates. Don't hesitate to ask about their audit methods and schedule a consultation to see if they're a good fit for your needs. Doing some research upfront helps you get top-notch service and maximize your energy efficiency.

Once you have your energy audit report, it's time to take action. Review the recommendations and prioritize the upgrades that make the most sense for your home and budget. Reach out to experienced pros to get quotes and discuss how they can help. By making these improvements, you'll boost your home's energy efficiency, lower your utility bills, and enjoy a more comfortable living space.
