"Came out to check my gas fireplace that wouldn’t remain lit. Found a faulty thermo-coupling and didn’t charge for the trip out. Waiting for the part to come in and then i can comment on the replacement."

"I have nothing but good things to say about Gary Smalling and his crew. He quoted me the most reasonable price in town after numerous consults with other companies. He was honest about the work that needed to be done, was always on time to appointments, was able to complete the job in a very timely manner, and the chimney looks great! I would definitely recommend them to anyone in need of chimney or masonry repair and will use them again in the future if need be."

"After inspecting the chimney, I was told it really didn't need cleaning, and since I had the logs etc done last year I indicated, that I really didn't want that done either. I told them that I just was looking for assurances that I wasn't inviting a potential fire hazard. My fireplace is gas and is only started a couple times a year which accounted for the cleanliness. They were ver professional and I got what I wanted, so I was glad to have the service provided."

"went to look at their showroom and felt that they had a very nice selection, at a fair price, from which to choose. they sent a guy to meausre a few days later and we found him to be prompt and very professional. an installation date was set only a couple of weeks out and we were very pleased to this pont. thereafter, things just fell apart. For the actual installation day, we were told that the installers would arrive in the morning. when they had not arrived by mid morning, we called and were told the workers were finishing a job from the day before and that they would arrive after lunch. they did not show up until very late in the afternoon and they reaked of cigarette smoke when we let them into the house. when the guy had previoously come to measure several wks earlier, he told us the walls in both bathrooms were bowed a bit and he warrned that the installers would have to notch out the drywall in the corners a bit so that the countertops would fit flush to the walls. unfortunately, the installers did not do this and we now have unsightly gaps between the walls and backsplahes which are too large to caulk. then the installers came back a 2nd day, again reaking of cigarette smoke, to drill the holes for the faucets. it was pouring down rain and they did not remove their shoes upon entering the house, nor did they cover the floors. their repeated trips in and out of the house left a trail of wet footprints. one of the guys wore headphones the entire time he was in the house. we don't know what his role was because he did nothing but push buttons on his telephone the entire time he was in the house. after they left, we had plumbers in to install the faucets and they informed us that we had a problem. it was discovered that the holes for 2 of the 3 faucets were cut too close to the backsplash, makings it impossible to pull the stopper stems up to close the sink drains. we called the granite showroom immediately and were told someone would come to look at the situation that day. no one showed up and again nobody called. when we called the office again, the person we spoke to was very apologetic and the same installers were sent several days later--again reaking of cigarette smoke and again it was raining and no shoes were removed. the lead installer looked at the faucets and told us our sinks were too large and that there was nothing that could have been done. these are standard sinks, purchased at a local plumbing supply store and we had taken the cardboard cutting template to the granite showroom as requested several wks in advance. the faucets were also standard delta faucets. we do not want the granite ripped off and replaced as we do not want the walls to be damaged. the bathrooms are finished and we will just have to live with stoppers that do not close and unsightly gaps between the backsplashes and walls. the countertops are beautiful, but the installatation process was very frustrating and not at all what we have experienced with other granite installers in the past.
It is now Jan. 9 and we just received a call from the very angry owner of Just For Granite. He was extremely upset that we had made an unfavorable post on Angie's List against his company. He described our post as nasty and unfair. He was argumentative and rude throughout the conversation and we found ourselves just sitting and listening to his rant. Any attempt at a discussion with him was pointless. He would just launch into another argument. He did not listen or hear anything we said. Toward the end of this very unpleasant conversation, he did offer to send his plumber to look at our faucets to see if they could be moved forward so that the stoppers could function. My plumber is a family owned company, in business for more than 40 yrs. They have said the faucets are pulled as far forward as possible and there is nothing that can be done and the lead installer from Just For Granite has also said there was nothing that could be done. As a result, we have declined the owner's offer to send a plumber. We appreciate the offer but we want nothing more to do with this man. He doesn't seem to relize that calling a customer and yelling at them only makes the situation worse."

"Our realtor referred us to Sanders and Sons for critical repair of the brick around our foundation. We were merely looking for a functional result but Tim and his team made sure our brickwork looked beautiful. Could not have been happier with the process, communication, or the result. Would highly recommend Sanders and Sons!"
