"Given the experience with the roof repair (reviewed herein), I contacted Abalia for help in completing a project I had started: screening in the open front porch to our log cabin. As the entire cabin is constructed of cedar logs, no straight edges, walls, etc. Screening in openings was straight forward (I did most of this), but the porch needed to be segmented (screened-in area, open area) requiring a wall and door to be constructed. Khaled arrived with all the necessary tools (which I did not have), and in short order (4 hours) had constructed the porch divider wall. Very happy with the end product, as we just completed our first warm season with no bugs on the porch!"

Let me start on how professional they were in every step of the way walking me through what needed to be done. I first hired them to help me sell an old victorian home built in 1900. I had a water pipe break and flood my dining room. James cam to my home and removed all the water damage to the ceiling and walls and was very skilled to repair everything back to the way it was originally. He also helped me clear up a few points on a home inspection and the one I was most impressed with was a front door railing that he built from scratch and matched the time period with great precision. I also hired James to look at a deck on my new home in Westminster. He showed me all the damaged areas and was able to explain to me the process of repair. This was a full demo of the old deck and rebuild. I am very happy with the deck as I know now it is built correctly and safe."

"The Evolution of Contractors were quick to respond to my request for a quote to replace the railings, treads, and porch area of my dad's front landing, which at that point had rotted out railings and failing treads. They did not try to upsell me and gave a clear quote for both wood and composite materials. There was zero pressure.Communication was always clear, friendly, and timely. We went with the composite option. The work was completed in one full day. They were polite, efficient, and cleaned up everything after themselves. I had the opportunity to review the work with them after and got clear care instructions. After the work was completely paid for, I noticed a small irregularity that was purely aesthetic in nature. I texted asking for suggestions to address it myself, and was immediately told they would come by the next week to correct the issue. I would happily work with them again!"

"Took down a dividing wall that required a new support beam. Initial wall demo and support beam done quickly. Issues started in the basement. Needed new posts in the basement. To do the work Scott had to cut out the concrete floor. Must have done this with a dry saw. Entire basement was covered in concrete dust. No attempt to cover anything was made including washer dryer and all stored items some of which was removed from upstairs to avoid the work in the living room. Pouring the concrete also left very uneven floor around the posts. Will have to be corrected if ever wanting to upgrade basement. Lastly the drywall repairs ceiling and some walls. Scott had to be told that the layers of mud needed to be sanded down to be considered paint ready as per our contract. Most was corrected but many corners and details left in poor condition His contractor for flooring was ok. Took 4 days longer due to double booking. Some wood slats were placed unevenly creating noticeable low and high pieces. Used Scott because he had an opening quickly but it was probably not worth it."

"Eoin Shannon and his crew (including skilled carpenter, Michael) did very thorough job of prepping a pretty beat up wood shingled house that also needed substantial woodwork repair.  Michaal even designed a swinging porch railing to allow easy entry of a baby grand piano that would otherwise have been very difficult to move.  Briliant!)  They did careful prep and careful painting and clean up.  Eoin advised us very well on color and kept us from going overboard on detailing--for which I'm very grateful.  Their bid was the lowest among 3 top rated Angie's list providers.  Eoin never over promised on complete dates and in fact ended the work ahead of schedule.  They left the premises picked up of debris every day.  Eoin runs a very practical, lean business and manages communications and paperwork himself; which has the strong advantage of really knowing who you're dealing with.  Only disadvantage is when you call he may be on a ladder!  But all needed communicate happened in timely way and I couldn't be more satisfied.  Great value for money, and top-notch finished product. Would absolutely hire them again without hesitation.
