"Rick was fabulous about fixing the issues that the original installer did wrong and created so many problems. I feel I can breathe again knowing it will work properly for a very long time. I trust Heart because their technicians are always experienced and friendly. "

"Very happy with the service level and professional attitudes of both Ray and his boss Joe at Royal's Heating and Air. They work hard, service our heating and A/C well, and even found and solved problem with attic A/C unit last year."

"They booked almost 30 days out for a fireplace repair. Showed up promptly on scheduled appt time and day. Tech discussed the issue, options and potential future problems. Removed a star due to a $279 service and trip fee while the repair was ~$190."

"I am extremely pleased with L&R Services and I highly recommend them. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. I had a small gas leak and Leroy fit me in his busy schedule to help. He was extremely considerate of our house and was very thorough. I made another appointment to have him come back to clean and fix our fireplaces. Again, he was super helpful and considerate of our home, and I couldn’t be more pleased with the work. Leroy was very responsive, knowledge, and extremely professional, and it’s clear that he takes pride in his work. I couldn’t ask for more in someone working on my home. I will definitely use L&R again and I highly recommend them."

"Definitely not reliable! Hired them to replace a lift pump in my house and less than a month after install it caught on fire and flooded our basement because a loose pipe was left in the pit and caused the motor to burn out. Second plumber came out and replaced pump but did not seal it. Now every time water runs through the pump the basement fills with sewage smell. Was told by third plumber nothing they could do. Management told me if the pump is working there is nothing they can do."

FAQs for gas piping projects in Kiowa, CO

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
