"This is a follow up to my earlier review when Adrian refinished half of my first floor and put in new flooring and matched the stain for the balance of the floor in the Fall of 2020. I wanted to replace the carpet on the second floor with carpet but Adrian did such a fabulous job for the first floor that my wife wanted to see if it made sense to go with hard wood again. My biggest concern was the time and the dust as we continued living in the house. Adrian had already addressed the concern about dust when he redid the first floor and I was amazed with the little amount of dust his super high end machines emitted. He promised me to try and get the job done in a week. Needless to say, he delivered with flying colors. I have already detailed my experience with him in my earlier review (he is a “craftsman” who takes pride in his work and doesn’t try to cut corners). He doubled up the crew the first couple of days to remove the carpet, the prep and installing new wood and finished the job in under a week. The floor looks fabulous. Thank you Adrian, for your professionalism and workmanship!"

His installation team worked very hard and did a wonderful job. When I bought my condo, the prior owners installed a horribly cheap floor that was also quite ugly. Thanks to ReDesign, my place was transformed and looks brighter and incredibly homey. I smile every time I look at my new floor. And his pricing was incredibly fair. One of my other quotes was twice as expensive as the one Mariusz gave me, and that company said it would take 4 workers 3 days to complete the project (my condo is on the smaller size side, and there is no way four people could have even fit in here while working at the same time). I would definitely hire ReDesign again if/when I need additional floors replaced."

We never wanted cabinets from a flooring company, But they targeted the owner because she is 91 years old and took them. Months later we got them back from the ex-con and hoodlum they sent to rob the owner totally destroyed and had to pay another $1300 to get them back. We feared for our safety because they wanted to know if the house was for sale and what types of cars we were driving. They prey upon the elderly. Do not use this company unless you have a criminal attorney on retainer. Stay away from DeSitter at all costs."

R-value measures how well insulation resists heat flow, which directly affects your home's energy efficiency. The higher the R-value, the better the insulation. By calculating the R-value needed for your specific climate and home design, you can choose the right insulation materials and thickness to keep your home comfortable and reduce heating and cooling costs.
You don't need to remove your old insulation before adding new insulation, as long as it's in good condition. Adding new insulation over existing materials can improve your home's energy efficiency. For example, you can install blown-in insulation around fiberglass batts or place rigid insulation over existing layers to enhance the overall R-value. However, if your current insulation is wet, moldy, or damaged, you should remove it to avoid health risks and maintain optimal performance.
Installing insulation typically takes five to twelve hours for batts or boards, and two to five hours for spray foam or blown-in insulation. The exact time depends on the type of material and your home's layout. If you need to remove old insulation, have a larger home, or hard-to-reach areas, the project may take longer.
The International Association of Certified Home Inspectors has said foam board insulation can last up to 100 years if properly installed. Some insulation materials can suffer from water damage or start to sag over many years, thus reducing their insulating ability. Foam boards shouldn't suffer from sagging but have the potential to get damaged. Any broken pieces of foam board can reduce its insulating effectiveness.
