"After a top notch installation of a new HVAC system by Treat's a few years back, we also invest in annual preventive maintenance. Kat, the technician who provided our PM service today was excellent. She was so thorough and knowledgeable. She really checked things out completely and we have a lot of confidence in the service and attention we received. Thank you."

"We had a wonderful experience having our new units installed by Sunset Air. Our initial contact Jessie was great to work with. The installation team of Ian, Jason, and Michael, and the Electricians Tristan and Justin were all very professional and did a great job. Jessie made several trips to our home, confirming our system as the team at Sunset Air put together a plan and identified what system would best suit our needs. The team was able to troubleshoot our old 1970 furnace and heat pump system. The system was a unique installation in an outside furnace room with a lot of the plumbing running under the home. Removal was quick. The new installation required some custom-designed Ductwork and some changes to the electrical system to ensure proper installation. The installation team was always on time, and when they left, you would never have known they were there; they took everything with them daily. Once the system was complete, we received a comprehensive run-through of the entire system and tips for maintaining the overall system. We were kept informed all the way through the process. Ian and Michael went the extra mile at the end and noticed the UV Units were not working correctly because our custom system wasn’t providing enough pressure to turn the units on. They spent the time troubleshooting and custom fabricating a workaround on the fly, adjusting to ensure the system was working. We had our County Inspection the next day, and the County inspector was impressed and had great things to say about the installation. We hesitated for years to replace the furnaces because with an old farmhouse, everything turns into a “CUSTOM” Job and typically is full of heartache and pain with cost overruns and the “What We thought was.” Not with these guys. They came in, did a fantastic job, and finished not just on time, which has never happened at our home. They Finished Early !! Thank you to the whole team at Sunset Air. Especially our team Ian, Jason, and Michael, and the Electricians Tristan and Justin. We highly recommend Sunset Air."

"Konstantine is simply the best. He is skillful in heating and plumbing, and also very kind. He has done several jobs for us recently. He fixed our water heater and replaced our kitchen faucet. For our water heater, he replaced a vault that regulated hot water. Two weeks later, the water tank was blockedby minerals, and he returned to flush our water tank for free. Our new kitchen faucet is a Moen Pulldown Kitchen Faucet. While playing with it, I accidentally let the hose go down to the sprout. I called Moen support and was told that it was almost impossible to get the hose out and I should buy a new faucet. Konstantine came and wasable to get the hose out in less than 10 minutes. Again, he refused to accept payment."

"I asked them to locate the septic tank. They failed but they offered to try to replace the septic line for $9,000. When I said I needed another opinion they offered to unclog my slow-draining septic system with a snake. They said it might not work but they would try if I wanted them to and it would only cost $700+. I agreed. They ran their snake through the system and got it stuck in the septic tank. They could not pull it out so they asked me if they could cut it off inside the house. They said it could be pulled out from the other end through the septic tank but they could not do it because they are not licensed to work on septic systems. Why did they run a snake through a septic system? I had to let them cut the snake. They could not leave their machinery with me. They offered again to replace the septic line for $9,000, this time to get the snake out. I declined. The snake is so stuck in the septic line and tank, multiple septic companies said they cannot remove the snake, and left in the line it will clog the line and I will have to connect to the sewer. That, with landscape repair, could cost $50,000. Jim Dandy claims their work order says they are not responsible for disabling my septic system and they don't want to discuss it. A septic company found the septic pump failed and is the actual cause of the problem. The septic line was never clogged. It is draining with the snake in it. The septic company said they are "blown away" that Jim Dandy snaked a clay septic line. They said it's thinwall clay pipe that is easily damaged. They don't think they can remove the snake from the septic line without damaging the line. Jim Dandy has a hydro jetting service that could have worked and not damaged the system but they never offered it. They charged me $800 to snake the line and disable my septic system."

FAQs for gas piping projects in Lacey, WA

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
