"I originally had this appointment scheduled for 9/4 between 10am and 12pm However, Donny was too busy on a significant project so he never called or showed. I kind of understood because lets face it, annual water heater flushes and anode rod inspections are not high priority in comparison to the big projects. But I only found out about this cancellation when I called the office after the time window had passed. So they rescheduled me for 9/6 between 4pm and 6pm. I got a call on this day from the office at 4:08pm stating that Donny would be arriving closer to 6pm. No problem for me as I agreed to that time window. Then the office calls again at 4:43pm stating that due to an emergency, Donny was not able to stop by my house (I hope everything is ok with him, he did a good job for me last year). The office sent a different plumber to my home.// Opio arrived promptly at 5:10pm and started with an indoor plumbing evaluation. I found that he was knowledgeable and I agree with his recommendation that all my sink valves need to be replaced. The quoted price of $1650 for 11 valves appears to be on the high end so I am going to get a quote from a similar highly rated company to verify that Pure Plumbing is competitive. // Next Opio flushed the water heater and gave me some good tips on how to do this myself since he thinks my water heater should be flushed every six months. The anode rod showed significant signs of detrioration to a measured diameter of less than 0.5”, so I accepted the $195 quote to replace it with the newer linked-style rod that will make future replacements easier. I had mixed feelings here: dissapointed that my anode rod lasted only one year after new installation of the water heater, but happy that this wear was caught and addressed by the inspection so I don’t run into future issues. All in all, Opio is an informative and friendly plumber."

"We had a seasonal inspection of our HVAC system, and the technician offered a free inspection of our vent/ducting system. As the building is now about 35 years old, I accepted the offer and found that the attic vents were in an advance state of deterioration. I obtained three bids from different HVAC companies, each initially selected based on web reviews. Two were well-known companies that advertise a lot in Las Vegas. The other company was Step By Step, which was small, not as well-known, and new to the business. I chose Step By Step based on my experience with Eric Juarez, who was personable and forthright in presentation, and straight in answering all my questions. Step By Step provided by far the best and most reasonable quote on the work. The pricing allowed us to upgrade from R6 insulated ducting to R8. The house had original R4 builder installed ducting. The Step By Step team was scheduled and initially Miguel arrived on time to perform removal of the old duct work. Throughout the process Andrea from Step By Step kept me informed when the team would show up and what to expect. It was nice speaking to a person and not a computer or voice mail. The house is 1650 sq. ft. one level. The removal started at 2 p.m. and installation and final clean up by the team ended shortly after 6 p.m. I am happy with how the work turned out. The contract has a one-year guarantee on labor with a limited lifetime warranty on materials. One final word on what to expect during work; if you are asthmatic or have allergies move out of the house for the duration as there will be dust and insulation finding its way into your living space (you will also need to do some vacuuming and dusting afterward). Overall, Eric Juarez and Step By Step provided an excellent experience. It is nice to know the attic is no longer receiving a portion of the AC intended for the living spaces and that my cooling bill may even be reduced. Thank you Step By Step."

"Our heat stopped working, of course right when it's the coldest time of the year. We contacted Aire Serv, and they were fantastic to work with. They initially thought it was our thermostat, but within two weeks, the furnace as a whole quit working. They ended up replacing our furnace and crediting the cost of the thermostat. Our old furnace was past it's recommended age. It turned out to be tough to remove, as it was the original furnace. We suspect it was built before the frame surrounding it. It required cutting into the ceiling drywall, but it was obvious their staff has encountered this in the past, and they showed their experience in dealing with such a difficult situation. You can tell that this is a company devoted to striving for excellent customer service. They answered all questions/concerns we had and made special accomodations to address our issues quickly. They care about the details like wearing booties, covering carpets/furniture, making sure not to do any damage, and performing full cleanup when the work was done. Their technical staff was great to work with, including Jaz, Charlie, Julian and Jiame (sp?). Also, the office staff of Shelly and Ryan also displayed wonderful customer service. Special kudos to Charlie who took the time to answer any questions or concerns we had about the new furnace and removing the old one. We would recommend this company to others for their Cooling/Heating needs. If you are the type of person that likes to do annual maintenance checks, I would also recommend asking about their yearly plans which includes discounts for services, free checkups, and priority scheduling."

"After initial contact on Sunday via home advisor i received a call within a half hour. We were told a technician would be coming but they could not give a time. Within 3 hours Tony came and assessed the ac problems. He explained the cost to repair and what he found on the inspection. Our ac was builder stock and over 18 years old so we knew it was due to be replaced so no surprises when he recommended replacement. He showed us the options for replacement of ac and furnace. He was informed and not pushy. We made our choice and Tony arranged a loaner room ac to be delivered for us to use until installation on Wednesday."

He changed all of the interior filters, checked the attic, cleaned both air conditioners, and replaced the capacitor in one unit.
