"Mr. Ferrell first connected his computer to my computer via internet and worked for quite a few hours trying to determine what exactly was wrong. The next day he continued working from his computer for several hours. He determined he would have to have my desktop tower to complete the repair. He and my son met in Huntsville to exchange the tower. He then cleaned up a lot of what was wrong and reloaded Windows 10. He deleted the D: drive which had way too much memory allotted to it. The tower was returned and I plugged it all back together and it is working better than it did when I first purchased it. I would use him again and I recommend him highly to anyone needing computer updating and/or repair. His work is warrantied and he is very personable, knowledgeable, and helpful."

"The Sharp/Long team members are professional, hard working and concerned that the job is done right. We needed work done on an older home that needed specific things done to improve the efficiency of the heating/cooling system. Not only has our comfort increased tenfold, but our utility bills have decreased substantially. We were extremely pleased with their original work, and they are diligent about continuing to tweak the system as needs arise. We have been treated like old friends, although we had no contact with the owner or company employees until they began their work. We would recommend them to our “really old friends” without reservation."

"The owner, Larry, came out to assess a problem I was having with pipes freezing on cold, windy nights. He inspected the basement, first, and second floors and was confident that the problem was a 1 foot by 1 foot chase that ran along an exterior wall. The job was small and he said he could reuse some materials to get it done economically. This was a relief because other companies wouldn't even take the job because it was too small. The crew came out the next Saturday morning and was very professional. They put down plastic to protect the floors and furniture, worked quickly, and cleaned up when they were done. A few nights later, we had another cold night and unfortunately the pipes froze again. I emailed Larry and he said he was getting a thermal imaging camera and would like to take another look. At every appointment, I received a call letting me know they were on their way, which I appreciated. He came out and saw some cold spots and scheduled another appointment - they didn't charge a trip charge like the bigger companies. Larry personally oversaw the next appointment and when they drilled another hole in the drywall, they found that the first insulation job was done correctly. This led to another section of the pipe. They had to pull back a corner of carpet in a closet and drill a small hole. Using a scope camera, Larry was confident that this new area was the remaining problem. They quickly filled the cavity, patched up and then cleaned up. Larry refused to take any money for the second job saying that he was confident the first work would fix the problem. I thought this went above and beyond what was necessary and showed a true commitment to professionalism and customer service. Needless to say, I would not hesitate to use them for future work."

"This is the 2nd time we have used Pak Pros, in the last few years. Matt and his guys were as good as it gets. I did award them the job over 2 other Angies List companies. The appointment for the day was set very efficiently. The crew was on time on move day. The crew was extremely polite and mindful throughout the day. This company has been put together to be truly customer service oriented and it really showed. I would absolutely recommend them to my Mom, or anyone else. Thank you very much"

"Someone came out the day before to see where the furnace was going to be installed. He suggested we go with a slightly larger unit for the size of our house, but we opted to go with the unit that was included in the deal.
Two men came out and installed the A/C and furnace. They told us they would be done with everything in about 4 hours, and kept pretty close to that. The furnace and A/C are both working perfectly so far.
We were mostly very happy with the company and the men who installed our units. There were only a couple minor annoyances. Our old furnace was incredibly rusty inside, and when they removed it from the house, they left a trail of rust and dirt from the basement to the front yard (including through our living room). They did not offer to clean it up, but left it for us to deal with. They also broke a light bulb in the basement and didn't get all the pieces cleaned up.

"Very prompt, professional, and answered all my questions. Great communication from giving me an accurate price out of the gate, when service would be performed, and what to expect in the future. I will be hiring again should my a/c unit need serviced!"

FAQs for central a/c service or repair projects in Lexington, MO

Coils work to absorb heat into the refrigerant that flows through them, moving heat from one location to another. For air conditioning, the evaporator coil inside the air handler in your home absorbs heat. It then transfers the heat outside to the condenser coil, where it releases it. The opposite process happens for heat pumps. When the coils get dusty and dirty, it reduces how well these components work.

Skip regular cleanings, and dirt, debris, and mineral deposits will blanket your evaporator and condenser coils. When that happens, the coils can’t shed heat efficiently, so the system works harder and your energy bill climbs. Over time, overheating strains the compressor and can trigger a full breakdown—an avoidable repair that often costs far more than a simple annual cleaning.

AC coil cleaning is an investment that pays for itself in the benefits it provides. Dust‑caked coils force your AC to run longer, so you spend more on electricity and rack up extra wear. A quick professional cleaning restores efficiency, trims monthly bills, and eases strain on expensive parts. Over the long haul, that small yearly fee delays pricy repairs and stretches the unit’s lifespan, making coil cleaning one of the smartest HVAC tune‑ups you can schedule.

Watch for higher electric bills, rooms that stay warm no matter how low you set the thermostat, or an AC system that runs nonstop. Extra humidity and frost on the coils are also red flags. Catching these clues early lets you schedule a quick cleaning before the system overworks itself and triggers an expensive breakdown.

Your AC cleaning technician starts by shutting off the power to the unit and removing the faceplate. Compressed air and a vacuum hose blast away loose debris, followed by a coil-safe, no-rinse cleaner that dissolves stubborn grime. After the solution has soaked in, the professional wipes the fins, reassembles the housing, and restores power, leaving the system ready to cool at peak efficiency.
