"I had a Groupon for 1000 sq. ft. of driveway sealing.  I have about 2000 sq. ft.  I bought the Groupon and called, and I was told it would be another $170, so I wanted to set the appointment.  It actually took a year to get done, as he had too many Groupon customers and was giving scheduling preference to his existing client base.  Once we had the appointment, they arrived on time, could not have been more pleasant, did a great job, and left the area spotless.

"They messed up the ceiling part in a corner.  They got the wall paint mixed in with the ceiling paint.  They did try to fix it.  We do have cathedral ceilings.  It took them a long time to paint.  I was a little frustrated or upset by the fact that the painter didn't have an extension ladder and ended up standing on my wood stove to reach.  It made me so nervous.  I really didn't want them to come back to fix the ceiling.  They did smudge it pretty bad, but I just choose to not look at it. It wasn't exactly what I would have expected from a professional painter, but they did an okay job. They were very responsive.  The owner called me the next day to see how it went.  They were very punctual and professional.  I guess it would be somewhat shady with the lack of ladders they had.  I would probably use them again.  Because of the difficult job, I think overall they probably are decent painters, it was just above their expectations.  They were prompt and worked right thru until they were done."

"This project was more complicated than we anticipated, because some of the work belonged to the town and some belonged to us as property owners.  JayDee helped facilitate the discussions between the town and ourselves.  There was an extensive delay -- really not due to JayDee but due to the town's staffing changes.  Once this was resolved, the work went well.  JayDee and his team arrived on time and JayDee met with us to review the final design and pricing.  They proceeded to transform our driveway, the walkways, and the paving alongside the road in front of our house.
We stayed off of the new paving for over a week, just to be on the safe side.  The true test came when we had torrential rains that caused flooding in other parts of our town and in many places in Southern Maine.  I watched as the water came rushing down our street.  Funneled by the slight trough alongside the road, the water rushed past our yard and house, and went down the storm drain.  Not a drop of rain came into the side yard and basement from the street flooding.  What a relief!
In addition, the new driveway and walkways are attractive.  We are very happy with the work performed by JayDee and crew.

FAQs for water or fuel tank remove projects in Long-Island, ME

There are several reasons why you might need to remove an oil tank. In some areas, local regulations require tanks to be removed after a certain period. Leaking tanks can pose hazards to drinking water and the environment. Plus, many municipalities won't allow property sales until an inspection confirms the oil tank is safe.

One option for disposing of an oil tank is to have your removal pro take it to a dismantling yard or salvage yard for recycling. If a salvage yard isn’t an option, you can contact a local landfill or a local oil tank removal service for help finding a proper disposal location for your tank. Typically, you’ll need to show there’s no sludge or residue in the tank.

A leaking oil tank reveals itself through increased energy bills and a noticeable oily sheen on water surfaces, which signals a malfunction. You may also experience strong oil odors and observe stained grass and deteriorating vegetation near your property. These clear warning signs demand immediate professional evaluation to protect the environment and secure your property’s safety.

Yes, states mandate soil testing during oil tank removal to detect hazardous pollutants that harm the environment. This testing confirms that no soil contamination exists. Certified specialists collect soil samples to meet regulatory requirements and ensure property safety. Conducting these tests protects water quality and the structure’s integrity while immediately triggering any necessary remediation measures.
