"Emailed Temp-Rite through their website for a general quote.  Jerry, the owner, responded  with a general quote and I set up an appointment after work on June 24th to get an estimate.  I liked the fact that I was under no pressure or given a hard sell.  Jerry emphasized that the decision was mine and mine alone and he would give me two estimates, one with new coils and a compressor and one without the new coils.   Later that same night, I was emailed a detailed estimate.  The next day I called and arranged for installation for the week of July 1st . I was very impressed with Sharon, the office manager, who handled my calls.  She was very considerate and said my installation would take place rain or shine.  I was called the night before the installation to confirm what time the techs would arrive and was offered to have them call me when they were on their way.  
The technicians arrived on time  and before starting asked me if I had any questions.  The existing outdoor condenser was replaced with a Carrier Model 24ABB3 using the new R-410 A refrigerant type, a heavy duty pad for underneath the unit, the replacement of the indoor coil and new line set along with a new coil and coil box, new electrical connection from the existing outdoor switch to the new unit, and a new PVC trap inside. 
The entire job took 6 1/2 hours to complete.  The technicians cleaned up and removed all debris before leaving. The lines going from the outside to inside the house were properly sealed.   I was also instructed on the proper cleaning of the permanent air filter I was using, cleaning and maintaining the PVC trap, and given a general description on the working of the unit and the coil unit.  
The techs were very patient and very willing to answer questions.  
I am extremely pleased with the quality of service and attention to detail from Temp-Rite.  I highly recommend Temp-Rite and will use them again to service my heater and air conditioner needs.

"Mr. Ferrell first connected his computer to my computer via internet and worked for quite a few hours trying to determine what exactly was wrong. The next day he continued working from his computer for several hours. He determined he would have to have my desktop tower to complete the repair. He and my son met in Huntsville to exchange the tower. He then cleaned up a lot of what was wrong and reloaded Windows 10. He deleted the D: drive which had way too much memory allotted to it. The tower was returned and I plugged it all back together and it is working better than it did when I first purchased it. I would use him again and I recommend him highly to anyone needing computer updating and/or repair. His work is warrantied and he is very personable, knowledgeable, and helpful."

"The water issue was in a small unfinished corner of the basement after a very heavy rain and only once since we moved in without mold issues- but I decided to get French drains and mold treatment done anyways for the entire basement. Bob gave me a good estimate and then tried matching the lowest estimate I had gotten (his was the second lowest but I decided to go with him). The installation work went smoothly (planning to get the basement refinished soon from one of his contractors who was there for the job so he knows where everything goes back) . "I had the fireplace doctors come out to see if my chimney had cracks in it because my roof was leaking.  They told me that the chimney looked fine but my old cap may be the cause.  They would have charged me 75 dollars just to come out and tell me the chimney looked fine or I could put that money toward the new $500 chimney cap.  I agreed to the new chimney cap, he took measurements and put my order in.  A couple of weeks later he came to put the cap on but it was too small and decided to hammer it in place which bent up the cap on one corner.  A couple of months later I noticed that the caulking had come undone around the flue and was dripping water which traveled down my rafter to the attic.  In their defense, it was a very hot summer so maybe the caulk melted...but still.  I called them and said I wanted the cap replaced.  They came out and took measurements again and had to fabricate the new cap which takes a couple of weeks.  After not hearing from them for about a month I had to call and inquire of the whereabouts of my cap.  Its really not easy getting a hold of them sometimes.  They have a call center in Florida so I guess its not necessarily the owners fault.  Anyway, after a couple days of back and forth they set up an appointment to come install the cap.  This time it was a little too big but that's ok.  A couple of weeks ago we had really strong winds in our area and I heard a lot of banging coming from the chimney.  I went up a couple of days later and saw that the flue had came loose in the cap and was banging from side to side.  There were only two screws to hold it in place and when it blew too far to one side, it came loose from the screw and then it blew to the other side and came loose from the other screw.  I tried to put the screws in myself but they came out a couple of days later.  So I called again, explained the problem and they set up an appointment to fix it.  I wasn't at home on the day of the appointment because I'm not going to take off 3 or 5 hours of work so they can do a 10 minute job.  I called the next day to see if they came out and the man on the phone said they did.  That evening I went on the roof to see if it was fixed and it was not.  I called again and played phone tag again for a couple of days and now they are supposed to come out tomorrow.  At least they try to get around to fixing it, ill give them that, but overall the experience hasn't been good.
