"Great service. We had another company come to inspect the furnace. They stated we needed almost $800 in repairs. Since this did not seem right to me. I decided to call and get another estimate. I called Mike and explained what I was told by the other company and he said that did not make sense. He said that if we did need those repairs they would charge half of what I was quoted. I asked if they could come out and he said they did not have anyone available. However he could have his brother Steve one of the owners come out and see if we could benefit from a new system At the same time he could see if we really needed repairs. He did give us a quote for a new furnace , a/c ans home zoning. This was $4000 less than the other company wanted. Also we did not have to pay it all at once. We were allowed to make payments with no interest."

"My experience with Jose L who did the work was great. He was prompt, professional, friendly and helpful. He was patient with my questions and showed clear dedication to delivering a quality experience. I would rate him straight As across the different categories. Scheduling the service was a different story. I'd grade that a C at best, maybe D. After multiple emails and phone calls that were not returned we finally got someone on the phone and scheduled the service, but they still couldn't provide us full information on the estimated cost of a simple repair. On top of that, it was a 6 week wait for someone to come out. We've been happy with Shavitz in the past but this was a bad experience. We're on their maintenance plan so we hope that will mean better service in the future."

"Willy was extremely thorough in troubleshooting potential causes for the lack of heat coming from my heater. He progressively eliminated the thermostat and multiple other components before concluding the heater was having air flow issues and had been repeatedly overheating. He educated me along the way about how to decipher heater status codes, what the heater behavior told him as he was trying different things, what he believed the problem was, and what options I had. He also educated me about filters and suggested I use a more porous filter, despite my allergies. Ultimately, my best option was to replace the heater and air conditioner, given the repeated stress the heater had been under for multiple years, its current performance, the interconnectedness of the heater and air conditioner, and the fact I planned to stay in the condo for years more. Because Willy did such a nice job educating me and helping me understand the implications of each option, I feel good about the decision to replace the units."

"Twice a year, we count on the friendly professionals at G &amp;amp;amp; R Heating and Air to give our furnace and AC regular maintenance. We are part of their &amp;amp;#34;membership&amp;amp;#34; program, which I highly recommend. In addition to HVAC, G &amp;amp;amp; R also do sump pump maintenance. They were honest with me about my sump pump being a little long in the tooth and a risk to not replace. I trust them, as should you. Highly recommend this company."

While I probably could have scrounged around for a slightly better price, the speed, professionalism and quality of the work more than made up for it - and currently being unemployed, I don't say that lightly! They literally came THE NEXT DAY and did the entire install - remove old unit, rework the ducting, install an air cleaner, dress the wiring - all in one day!
