"These guys are awesome!!!! I woke up at 8am Sunday morning in JULY and my AC WAS OUT! I called three other companies and they either did not answer or I left a message. When I called Metro AC Dewayne answered and told me he could have someone out today, he also explained their emergency call service fee of $150.00 but I totally understood since it was Sunday morning. He took my information and told me a technician would call me within the hour. Larry, the technician called me about 15 min later and said he could be there by 1000am. Dewayne called me back about 45 min later to make sure Larry had called me and set up a time. Larry showed up at around 950. I showed him where the compressor was and that it had been running but the fan had not been spinning. He looked at everything and came in and explained he felt it was only the capacitor but it might be the motor. His plan was the replace capacitor and if that didn't work we would change out the motor. He replaced the capacitor, checked the pressures and temps coming out of AC, changed out my air filter (which he did not have to do) and was done by 1100!! Larry was nice and used shoe covers and was very professional! Metro air conditioning will be my new go to AC and heating repair and maintenance shop!!"

I obtained several proposals and while most of them were within a few percentage points of each other in terms of cost, I chose Efficient Home Solutions. There were several reasons. First, David took the time to show me the math about my CFM airflow problem. I have been short about 800 CFM all these years and it's probably why my other unit wore out after 12 years. I got a 5 ton Lennox unit and David explained the differences between it and a comparable Trane (which I had previously installed). I think having a local company with access to parts in the future was a great reason to pick Lennox. The unit is a beast. Secondly, David brought his installation manager who carefully inspected my attic space and location of new return ducts. No one else brought theirs. This made a big difference because there would be no question as to what would work space-wise or not. Third, David also answered all my questions professionally and even explained many details I hadn't thought of (nor did any other service provider). I really like my Nest control and this unit cools within 40 seconds, and after 2 minutes, it's freezing! The family room is facing the hot west sun and now we can't even tell it's hot outside. "Mechanical Comfort Systems installed a new heating and air system when my upstairs (where all the bedrooms are located) system went out in the heat of the summer on a Thursday (left for work and it was working... got home and it was 90 degrees upstairs). I had another HVAC contractor out before calling Mechanical Comfort Systems and their proposal was significantly more expensive for a lesser system than I received from Mechanical Comfort Systems (the efficiency of the system was an upgrade from existing, and other company quoted replacement with same efficiency as existing). The system was replaced quickly (on a Saturday), and the installers were great, very professional. They cleaned up after themselves, and did a great job. During the freeze this February, I had a water pipe freeze and burst. Mechanical Comfort Systems came out the day after, even though driving conditions were still terrible and all my friends in similar situation were being told it'd be several days to a week before a plumber could come unless they paid some ridiculously expensive emergency fee... I recommended Mechanical Comfort Systems to three other people I knew that also had frozen pipes burst, and they all had them come after fix theirs after I gave them Mechanical Comfort Systems information. I strongly recommend Mechanical Comfort Systems to anyone needing any plumbing or HVAC work. I'll definitely use them again... although I hope not anytime soon ?"
