"Acorn Home Improvements,Inc. did work on my elderly mother's home. The house needed new windows. The old ones were drafty and were hard to open. In addition to replacing the windows, we decided to have additional insulation installed in the attic. Both crews, one for the windows and the other for the insulation, were professional, polite, on time and did a great job cleaning up after themselves. It was a pleasure to deal with a company that was accommodating and completed the work as agreed upon. Mom and I found their pricing was very reasonable. Since I live out of state, I was not able to be there for the entire process so it's comforting to know that there are companies that are honest and reliable. When the project was completed mom was thrilled with her new windows and how easy they were to open and close. Further more with the proper insulation, mom found that her utility bills have decreased which is an added bonus for someone on a fixed income. Mom and I highly recommend Acorn and would definitely use them again."

"I RECENTLY HAD MY ATTIC INSULATION REPLACED BY MASTER ATTIC. ALEX CAME OUT RIGHT ON SCHEDULE AND GAVE ME A FAIR PRICE. ( I DID HAVE 4 OTHER ESTIMATES) THE CREW LEAD BY ROBERTO WAS AMAZING. THEY WERE VERY CONSIDERATE, CAREFUL IN MAKING SURE THE AREA WAS SEALED OFF AND WERE VERY CAREFUL OF MY PERSONAL BELONGINGS. THEY DID A GREAT JOB IN REMOVING OLD INSULATION , VACUUMING OUT THE ATTIC ,SPRAYED AREA AND SEALED ANY OPENINGS. BEFORE THEY BROUGHT IN NEW INSULATION, THEY ASKED ME IF I WISHED TO TO VIEW THE ATTIC AND I DID. I WAS AMAZED EVEN AT THIS POINT, HOW CLEANED EVERYTHING LOOKED . (THIS INSULATION HAD BEEN UP THERE FOR 70 YEARS) NEW INSULATION WAS INSTALLED AND IT LOOKS GREAT. THE CREWED CLEANED UP EVERYTHING , EVEN VACUUMED THE AREA IN THE ROOM. ALL BAGS OF OLD INSULATION WERE REMOVED PROMPTLY AND I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE."

"I have nothing but good things to say about Colin and the team. They are professional, brought in an army to stay on track with timelines, and left the place looking better than it was before they started. They re-painted and finished the job better than expected. We could hear a pin drop upstairs before they came and it's now 80% better. We can hear them occasionally walking on the hard floor but no music, or anything else. We could hear their dog running up the hall, and no longer. The one thing to be aware of is that it's a full scale renovation that results in a lot of dust. It takes time to get every surface clean again but that's the only difficulty. They even fixed exposed cable wires in the ceiling and did additional aesthetic things that was not in the contract because "it made sense while the ceiling was open". We are the 4th in our building to use them and they continue getting business from our neighbors. They come highly recommended."

"The whole experience went very well. I actually chose Econotherm based on the materials that they used and the professionalism of the audit staff. The Econotherm Staff showed up on time, applied all the insulation and waited for the after insulation audit in case <br /> <br />any leaks were found. Not only did the house show a 20% improvement, the how was 50% more air tight after their work. That means the actual savings in heating will be more then was proposed. <br /> <br />The clean up after the job was well done and I do not have any complaints. "Gene was very responsive to my request for an evaluation of my home to find opportunities to address cold/ drafty rooms. He performed a free assessment which was nice (not all in this business do). He made several recommendations after an in depth examination, and wrote up a detailed quote breaking out each line item. I appreciated the cost transparency. We decided to take the initial step of applying spray foam to insulate the duct work in the basement and attic. Gene used good ventilation techniques and the end result was very neat. He cleaned up well. He shared the before and after data in terms of the surface temperature of the duct work. It is clear it is making a difference in terms of the evenness of the heating in the home. I will definitely hire again."

"Expensive but necessary and worth it. Everything was professional from beginning to end. The inspection performed by Mark confirmed my suspicion that the attic needed to be decontaminated and rodent-proofed. Walking around my attic was tricky because the existing cellulose insulation was too thick and made it difficult to see where to step. Among four other companies that I hired for a free inspection, Mark was the only one who was able to walk around and inspect the attic by carefully sweeping aside the existing insulation. He informed me the pros and cons. The major con was that the existing insulation (which was recently installed by another company, Coastal Insulation) needed to be replaced. I also learned that there were no baffles installed even though this was part of the contract I had with the other company. I had no idea. In order to alleviate the expenses, Mark called the office and was able to get me a considerable discount and waived some fees. On top of that, he was able to accommodate an appointment for me within a week of the inspection. On the day of the job, the workers came on time (it was raining that day). They all wore biohazard suits and booties and carefully covered the floor, stairs and furniture with plastic. The lead worker, Francisco, constantly informed me of concerns, showed me pictures and answered my questions. They finished the job within 5 hours. Francisco vacuumed my stairs and the crew was sweeping my front yard at the end of the day. Mark also returned to ensure everything was done correctly. I had to request a follow-up appointment two weeks later to make sure that the baffles are in place after one night when it was extremely windy. Mark was unavailable but Joseph arrived and was just as professional. He assured me that the baffles are indeed intact and he inspected the rest of the attic to make sure nothing was disturbed. If you need peace of mind for an expensive but necessary home improvement, then Atticrawl is definitely worth it."
