"I was new to the Charleston area and a first-time home buyer. I needed to find a house and very quickly because I was only able to travel to town for a very short period of time. Karen was enormously helpful from start to finish, and even after the finish. Before I came to town, using email and web resources, we settled on a long list of houses to visit . When I was in town, Karen was able to spend plenty of time with me showing me house after house. Her advice and opinions were very useful. She was also good at getting a sense of what houses I would like and wouldn't like, and she could often predict it before I walked into a place. She recommended an insurance agent who, after I shopped around, turned out to be the best deal I could find. I was most impressed by Karen's commitment, not only her commitment to making the deal go through, but her commitment to making sure all the details were in place after the closing. For example, Karen went out of her way to return to the house at least 2 times after closing to let people install carpet because I was out of town and unable to be there. This was above and beyond the call of duty. I'd highly recommend Karen Abrams to prospective home buyers."

"Thomas completed a residential property appraisal for me, the buyer, on a FSBO property in order to determine a fair market price for preliminary negotiations with the seller. Although he was a little late for the appointment and had some minor discrepancies in his report, he was spot on with the appraisal price based on the price per square foot for the neighborhood. The property was unlike any in the neighborhood, he corrected his minor discrepancies and took full responsibility for the oversight, and was able able to professionally field questions from the owner of the property who felt that the home was worth more than fair market appraised value. The comps that were used in this appraisal were solid. <br /> The 2 minor discrepancies did not affect the value of the property and therefore, did not negativity weigh into my review. I was promised the completed appraisal in 5 business days due to 'busyness of his schedule' (I would have preferred 3 days) however, I did receive the appraisal in 5 business days.  <br /> Overall, it was good work. The appraisal was solid and I would use this company again. <br />"

"It went very well. I called for an appointment, got an answering machine. I left a message and got a call back within fifteen minutes. The appointment was made for a Friday, three days later. Mr. Riley showed up ten minutes early. He did what he was supposed to do. When done, he advised me that he would have the report to me on Monday. On Monday afternoon I received a completed appraisal on my Email. He was very friendly and informative. <br />"

"We started our search for a realtor and we were overwhelmed. We decided to email the owner of a well known agency and he connected us with Brian. We had a different time line than most. My husband and I were set to leave on a deployment overseas. Brian met with us and got all of the details we wanted in a home. He showed us multiple houses, but we could not find one to make our home. We left for our deployment and Brian continued to search for us. He worked with my family also. With not being in the country we had to rely on Brian for eveything. Needless to say, Brian and my parents were able to find the perfect house! He guided us every step of the way, even after closing. He checked on our home after the closing and even swept our porch and changed seasonal decorations. We came back to the perfect home! He continues to keep us in the loop about the real estate in our neighborhood. He was VERY attentive, without being pushy. We cannot say how wonderful he made our experience! <br /> <br />"
