Initially I called other companies for quotes and most of them did not want to give me even an estimate. He swapped out the toilet and in the process noticed that there had been long term water leakage resulting in some rotting of the subfloor. He was able to secure the toilet to the area of the floor that was unaffected by the water damage. Since then, I have had no problems with water leakage or an unstable toilet.
