"Great!! Two different handymen, two different occasions. Both men were professional and friendly. Replacing the interior door took some time, and it was worth it! Dean was meticulous (and went up and down the stairs so many times) to make sure the door fit properly in the frame and opened easily over the carpet (which the previous door never did). Separately our front stoop needed repair - pulling off the existing stone/brick that was deteriorating and replacing it with bluestone. James does beautiful work - he is a master in masonry. Coming out of lockdown and having both men show up with all the necessary PPE put me at ease - they were being very careful and following all the guidelines. I've already scheduled them for more work. Well worth the price!!"

"The exterior door installation went well and was completed on time. Ryan’s helper called out and did not come the day the job was scheduled but Ryan was still able to complete the job as scheduled, alone. We decided to use Indigo because Ryan was more knowledgeable about door installation and the types of doors available that we could purchase. His estimate included plans to carefully remove our relatively new storm door so he could re-install it after the new exterior door was finished. "Dave was working with my neighbor a week after Hurricane Sandy, and I asked him to do similar work in our house. This is a second home, and I was not onsite regularly. Dave and his crew did exactly what they said they would do, on time and on budget. We had 34and quot; of water in our garage and crawlspace, which required sheetrock to be ripped out and replace, with mold spray on the studs. Dave did all that and repainted the garage perfectly. The water had blown out my crawlspace door, and Dave and his guys built it just like it had been. Our ductwork in the crawlspace was insulated on the inside and that was wet, so all that had to come out and be replaced. Finally, they scrubbed my garage floor and the cinderblock lower wall.

"Workers arrived on time as scheduled. We had a little snafu with the building rules; my building requires that the hallway from the elevator to the apartment door be covered with masonite.  They were not prepared for this, and providing this service cost an additional $275.  So if anyone else is doing this in manhattan, I recommend you check with your building codes and make sure everything is worked out ahead of time so that there are no surprise extra costs.
The guys were very courteous and efficient.  The floors look beautiful, and there is minimal dust.  Overall, I am quite happy.  I would recommend them.

"Jim first built the supports for the porch roof, he then removed the support pillars, the railing, the floor boards.  On inspection, the Beams and Joists were not to spec, he came and discussed replacing the beams and joists, and gave an estimate for the replacement.  On agreement, the lumber was ordered and provided.  The foundations were inspected after the removal of the framework, we had epected the beams and joists to be replaced, but not the foundations which were the original from around 100 years ago.  New foundations were placed with modern materials.  The work took just over two weeks and it was hot ... we only had to deal with Jim the owner, he provided a detail estimate at the start of the job, and detailed estimates for the add ons, all of which were detailed and within the budget.  The original estimate was $13,000, at the end with changes the final cost was just under $17,000 and worth every penny.  I will say we did not have to do anything, Jim worked with the city for permits, we just provided checks as needed.  Kim has followed up on his work letting us know when we need to oil the porch deck and wax the ends.  I would hire Jim for almost any job."
