"A1 Windows & Doors originally installed all of the windows in my house as well as the front and back door. The back door has really cool hardware that makes it extra secure. On this rare occasion almost 3 years after the installation, the hardware got stuck and I was not able to open or close my back door. But A1 came out and repaired the door at no charge to me. They were courteous and professional. It's always great to get a great product that you're happy with. It's even better to know that, if anything goes wrong, the company stands behind it's products and workmanship!"

"I contacted Ed on 3/9/11 to see about getting a quote for a painting job. I explained that I had just had the kitchen/dinning area remodled and wanted to have the painting done a.s.a.p. Three adults staying basically in one room for 4 weeks gets real old... anyway, Ed agreed to meet me at 8:00 the next morning. He emailed me the quote of $425.00 plus materials of around $155.00 that very same day. I contacted Ed and said I wanted the job done. He came back that evening so that I could pick out the color paint and paint types I wanted. Knowing that I really wanted it done as soon as possible, Ed and his wife Amy agreeded to do the job on Sunday! The work was all done in one day...holes fixed, primered, walls, ceiling, trim and doors all painted! The rooms look great! No heavy paint smell and I never know a neat painter before. I plan on using Ed and Amy in a couple of weeks for another room. And this time I will give him a little more notice."

"A 3 week project turned into 5 weeks.  Yes, there would be a day delay in between inspections but the schedule lacked coordination. The tile guy was scheduled to come on a Saturday but no one bothered to call the tile supplier to see if they were open on Saturday so that the tile guy could pick up the tile which caused a delay.  The plastering where the flourescent lights were was uneven and had to be retouched.  The drywall had to be retouched in order to pass inspection because the drywall guys did not put in the requried screws needed.
The floor tiles were installed the same day the custom cabinetry was to be installed.  The end result was that the some of the newly grouted tile cracked under the weight of the cabinet installation.
Emails and calls were made to Bryan to alert him of these incidents, he assured us it would be taken care of.  He came by sporadically not after each job was done.  He should have been here to see each step completed to address issues firsthand.  Instead, I missed 5 weeks of work and had to inspect all the errors and get back to him.
The second time we went to fill the bathtub after the job was completed, the shower valve popped off the wall.  My husband sent him an email and he called the next day to say one of his handy men would come by.  The handyman saw that the new shower valve had not been installed correctly.  He finished it as best he could so that the carrera marble tiles would not have to be removed because the hole where the valve was not big enough.  That worked until today less than 5 months after completion when I went to fill up the tub and the faucet for the tub does not work.  The shower comes on but the water does not pour into the tub.So tomorrow,
I will be calling a PROFESSIONAL PLUMBER to do the work that this company failed to do.

"He replaced some rotten molding outside, installed some door stops and baseboards. He re-plastered a wall inside and out where a custom pet door was built into the house. He replaced the attic hatches, fixed the toilet and tinkered with the washing machine, and worked on the vents. He was prompt, very organized and completed the work in the time he said he would. We appreciated his work so much that we hired him to come again next week. The quality of work was good and his prices were good, and he was also being nice to my 80 old parents."
