Since it was a small repair he did the work while on site. He also told me I should contact someone to look at masonry on my fireplace and I appreciate that info since I can't see upcoming maintenance issues on my roof."

"I scheduled the service with the provider and he accidentally overbooked. I called to confirm and we rescheduled to the next available day, only one or two days later. One of his workers showed up in the evening about 7pm. He put the first coat of paint on the shutters. He came back the next evening and applied the second coat of paint. Mike, the painter, was very good. He was efficient, professional and hard working. The paint job is excellent. I would definitely hire them again.

"After having a major pipe bust and leak issue repaired, we then had to fix up water damage as well as damage left by plumbers trying to fix our problems.  One of the damages at hand was wet insulation and wet and rotting boards holding that insulation up underneath the side of our kitchen where it meets our back porch (about 2 feet off the ground). 
Tom came out and not only removed the section that was damaged, but pulled out basically the whole row of boards and insulation that followed along where our kitchen and porch meet (not damaged, but older).  He then added all new insulation and replaced all the boarding holding it up.  His charge for all of this doesn't seem fair... to him.  
Now, when just about anything needs fixed around the house, we are ready to give Tom a call!

"I first found Rising Height Unlimited when I was soundproofing my office.  I had had a prior contractor in who had done work that I was unhappy with.  Rising Height staff professionally let me know what they saw and how to correct the problems.  I could tell from the way they spoke to me and educated me that they not only had an in-depth and experienced way of thinking and working, but that they also were professional, helpful, and trustworthy.  I had also had some worries about rotten wood and structural damage at my home for a few years, but had not found a contractor I really trusted to address the problem.  After Rising Height completed the work at my office, I felt comfortable asking them to help me at my home as well.  The day that Mike came by to take a look at our home, he was quite concerned about one aspect of my family room that could be dangerous to us.  He re-arranged schedules for his staff (he had been booked out at that point) to come by the next day and take down the potentially dangerous part of my one wall.  I was quite impressed (and thankful) that my and my family's safety was so important to this company.  They remodeled and/or did handiwork in several parts of our home, and did significant work on the outside as well.  All the staff were courteous, professional, and I felt comfortable with them working in my office and my home.  We are very pleased with all of the work they did, and would definitely call this company again in the future.

"AHS is ok. They cover repairs of most everything under the roof of your house. The companies that contract with them are not always the best. You call AHS with the issue, they send a fax to the repair company and give you the contact info. If they don't contact you within 24 hours, you call them. Sometimes they answer, sometimes they don't. When they arrive (usually three days or so later), they service the item. if it has issues within the 90 days, you call AHS again, they are sent out with no charge. If the serviceman decides the unit is unrepairable, AHS will allow you to choose a replacement from their listing (usually not as good as what you have) they will install and remove your old item, or give you wholesale amount to buy and install your own. Prices vary on what you want covered and what you want the copay to be, plus where you live. For me it is 49.99 per month with a 75.00 time of service order. You can have more than one item serviced at the same time under the same fee. If you have a SEAR product the repair guys are great. Not that wild about the other ones they send out. But it is a big savings compared to calling someone on your own. The cost of service is only the 75.00 copay."
