"My front and side windows were very drafty as the wind comes from the southwest and blows down the soffits. My wife wanted to replace the windows which would have been very expensive. When USA Insulation installed the additional insulation to the entire first floor of my 1-1/2 story house, we noticed a big difference in the first 3 days. The house is much quieter from outside noise, there is no drafts in the window frames, and the furnace isn't kicking on every half hour. We have a pellet stove insert in the living room and haven't had to light it in the past week and the outside temperatures have been in the mid-thirties. I'm saving money on propane and pellet fuel. The crew that installed the insulation came to my house on time. They were very courteous and polite. They did a full house walk-through inspection and explained every thing they needed to do. They worked together as a team and finished the job in less time than I expected. They cleaned up before they left and you'd never guess what was done. I don't normally do reviews or surveys but I had to comment on this. I highly recommend USA Insulation and have already told my friends and family about this excellent work."

"Took two days with 3+ crew members. Removed 16 yr. old complete HVAC system. Hard workers. Ate fast lunch on the job to complete job by 5+ pm. Arrived 8 am. Joe (sales) was very experienced with what I needed. Since I had done (knew the HVAC terms) online research, I agreed with his suggestion on mid-level high tech. pricing/equipment. HIs estimate beat Betllem by thousands. Joe returned to specify exactly where to install supply vents, etc. All done before our recent heat wave."

"We can?t say enough about the wonderful job they did.  We have an old house with a finished 3rd floor that was never insulated.  It was very cold in the winter and very warm in the summer.  It also was the cause of our ice damming last year and cost us thousands of dollars to repair all the walls.   <br /> We contacted several well know heating, building and insulation contractors and they all were perplexed as to how to solve the issue.  One even said to forget insulating because it couldn?t be done in such a limited space and we would not get any benefit from it.    <br />  I then found Coler on Angie?s list and contacted Dave who came out and gave us quote to insulate.  He assured us without hesitation that it would resolve all of our issues (which it did).  They were professional, polite, and right on schedule.  I felt very confident that they knew what they were doing.  It?s amazing how they were able to access the most difficult areas with very little space between the ceiling and roof. <br /> They exceeded our expectations and would highly recommend to anyone!  Definitely money well  spent! <br />"

"Do not use for an AC inspection/cleaning! They came out to inspect and clean our A/C unit and everything was good to go. We used the A/C that day after they left but woke up Saturday morning with a very loud noise coming from the inside vents. They came out again and said our A/C was frozen. They said this was a common occurrence for running for long periods of time. They couldn’t thaw because they found the schrader core was stuck open. They said they need to come back to pump refrigerant into condenser to replace valve, then add refrigerant. 3rd visit: Checked system pressures and found unit low on charge. They performed a leak search and found the schrader core leaking as well as a leak in the evaporation coil. And they found corrosion of the copper tubing in the coil – which if they just looked at the unit at the time of inspection, they would’ve seen this! So what do they actually inspect and clean during the $130 cleaning? The 2nd guy even called the first guy to make sure he checked everything. I think some things were missed. Shouldn’t at the initial cleaning they caught all of these problems? They should’ve noticed the ice buildup or leaks or that the refrigerant pressure wasn’t correct. Or most definitely the corrosion on the inside coils which is an indicator of a leak! And the most disturbing piece of all is that I’ve called numerous times and have left messages with a manager and no one can even bother to call me back to explain what happened. Not very good customer service!"

He had to cut through drywall, found and fixed the leak, cleaned up and was gone in an hour. He showed me the leak, explained what probably happened and answered all my questions. He is a true professional- knowledgeable, proficient, and has high standards. He wants to be sure his customers are satisfied with the job before he leaves. "We were blessed when we bought our home 4 years ago that all the previous homeowners did an amazing job with maintenance and upgrades over the years. The only deficiency was that the home still had its original 30 year old windows. We knew from day one that we needed to replace them sooner than later. We saved up and finally called highly-recommended Comfort Windows last August. Our salesperson, Don, was very thorough and knowledgeable. He explained all our options in great detail without any pressure tactics. We chose the window line manufactured by Comfort Windows themselves in Syracuse. 20 windows, triple-paned, one layer of Low-E coating and argon filling. Our house is a traditional colonial so we stuck with the grids on the front but left them out in the rear. We even changed some windows to picture windows. Wow! What an amazing great decision. The light and views are just gorgeous. We also replaced a sliding door between the house and a sunroom addition. Comfort Windows are great quality and affordable. The craftsmanship is top notch. Great value for the product. Like many others acknowledged, our project was delayed by 3 months due to the pandemic. We were originally given a November installation time frame, but didn’t get them installed until February. The real heroes of this project were Paul and Chris. Temperatures in the teens, thick snowpack, heavy lake effect snow, nothing stopped these guys. They were very professional, polite, COVID conscious, and did quality workmanship through some really tough weather conditions. A few other guys popped in here and there to lend a hand, but I didn’t get to meet them. Paul and Chris were “our guys” and we welcomed them into our home like family. When all said and done, we absolutely love our new Comfort Windows. The energy efficiency ratings are spectacular and we can’t wait until we stick it to RG&E. We used a thermometer to check the difference. While it was 12-degrees outside, our original double-paned windows averaged 40 degrees on the face. Imagine, that’s like leaving multiple refrigerators wide open 24/7. The new Comfort Windows were 60 to 65 degrees on the face of the glass. What a difference! We actually had to turn down our thermostat because we were sweating at night. The windows are gorgeous and you can just tell that they were built to last well into the future. A great investment with no buyers remorse. You just can’t beat Comfort Windows. Don’t believe the hype of the overrated national brand. How can a window made to be “one size fits all” serve the climates of California, Florida, Arizona and the winters of New York? These windows are made in New York. These windows are made for New York. Support local businesses and local hard working men and women."
