"Everyone we worked with at Prudhom Heat & Air was courteous and professional. This family-owned business offered a good product at a fair price that met our needs perfectly. There was one small issue a few days after the installation but we called and they were back out within 30 minutes and had the problem resolved in less than an hour. We'll definitely use them for our future HVAC needs!"

Small jobs welcome

"Great job and it was a good experience from project quote to finish product. Chris and his staff took time to explain the whole process. There is a lot of coordination involved in getting a gas line installed, the heater unit put in and the inspections completed so the gas can be hooked up and get a heater running. Chris knew I was concerned about the cold weather coming in January and got it done before the arctic (below zero) cold snap hit. In today's world that kind of personal service is rare and much appreciated."

"Jeff was the first person to notice that my humidifier was not functioning properly. It had been serviced for 10 years prior and he was the first person to inform me there even was a filter that needed to be replaced. I appreciated that he notice the issue so it could be corrected."

"Great! Though the replacement of the line is beyond our budget at the time, the technician never pressured me. He simply showed me the issues and gave me options. Very professional and courteous.

"Charlie went above and beyond to help my elderly mother replace her heat and A/C units before the weather turned cold at the end of the week and at the best price for a quality system. He worked to save her money by finding equipment that fit within the existing duct configuration. He noticed that it was very difficult for her to change the filters and added an extension that would enable filters to automatically be changed (at no extra cost to her). I cannot express how thankful that we contacted him for these services. I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone looking for Heat & A/C..."

"It was August and my A/C wasn’t cooling the house. I called a few other companies and either never heard back or was told that I needed a new unit. I heard from a friend that Bryant Plumbing Heating and Air was good, so I figured I’d try them. I gave them a call and they were able to make it out the same day. They were polite, professional, and experienced. They diagnosed the issue and gave me a quote, it turned out to be something fixable after all. They were able to order the parts and install them, it was fairly inexpensive compared to the cost of a new unit that I was previously told I needed. Two years later, the A/C is still going strong. I will definitely be using them in the future for all repairs/tune-ups, and plumbing. I highly recommend Bryant to anyone."

FAQs for central humidifier installation and replacement projects in Oklahoma City, OK

A crawl space dehumidifier is a worthwhile investment, particularly in humid climates or if you've noticed musty odors, mold growth, or wood deterioration. Though costs range from $3,000 to $9,200, this investment helps prevent structural damage that could require far more expensive repairs later. Beyond structural protection, a properly dehumidified crawl space contributes to better overall indoor air quality and may reduce allergens throughout your home. Consider having a professional assessment to determine if your specific situation warrants this investment.

Addressing crawl space moisture effectively often requires a combination of solutions. A complete approach includes encapsulation plus dehumidifier installation. For minor moisture issues, a basic dehumidifier starting at $1,500 may suffice, while severe problems in larger spaces could require systems costing up to $14,000. The most effective moisture control strategy depends on your specific conditions, making a professional assessment valuable for determining the most cost-effective approach for your situation.

For a crawl space measuring 1,500 square feet, you'll need a dehumidifier with a daily capacity of 30 to 50 pints, with unit costs ranging from $150 to $600. Your local climate and existing moisture levels may necessitate adjusting this capacity—homes in particularly humid regions might benefit from higher-capacity units. Professional installers can measure your specific humidity conditions and recommend equipment that is appropriately sized, balancing initial cost with operating efficiency for your unique situation.

Crawl space dehumidifiers add $300 to $500 to your annual electricity expenses when operating continuously. Energy-efficient models reduce this consumption by roughly 15 to 30% compared to standard units. Most contemporary dehumidifiers feature humidity sensors that automatically cycle operation based on current conditions, helping manage energy usage. Proper crawl space encapsulation significantly improves efficiency by creating a controlled environment that requires less dehumidifier runtime, thereby reducing ongoing electricity costs.
