"3 weeks after moving in, an overnight sewage backup formed in the basement. At the same time, the kitchen sink would barely drain and was backing up into the other sink. Plumbing nightmare. I called Jim Dhamer Plumbing and they sent 4 guys out same day. They quickly diagnosed the issue and extensively rodded both drains. They also located an old school small sewer under the driveway with a pump system, which they cleaned out as well. Shortly everything was working perfectly - good as new. Outstanding service and I appreciated the team taking the time to explain what was happening, why, and how to prevent this type of issue in old homes. Rust had accumulated in the pipes while not in use during a remodel, paper etc. got caught on the rust, and the prior owner apparently flushed wet wipes (which are technically "flushable" but a big no no in older homes).
