"Best in the business!! Honest, Hardworking and Caring. There is reason there are only 5 Star reviews for Grady Brothers Services. My 30 year old heater stopped working in the dead of winter with freezing temps. Upon asking around, Michael came highly recommended, and had us back up and running without delay. Will most certainly use Grady Brothers for all our HVAC services in the future!"

"Came when promised. During the coldest weather we ever had. I was worried it was a major problem. The issue as turned out was minor. The fact they came out for me on a day like that is appreciated to no end. I could have had to wait a whole day without heat. I will use again for sure. Very nice and professional. "

"Really excellent installation of Daikin FIT heat pump with a gas backup furnace. This allows dual fuels, gas or electric. It's 15F right now and the heat pump is a bit slow bringing my rowhome up to temperature, but is working fine. It's good down to 0F, and Philly rarely gets below the 20's. Installers were great and highly experienced. No surprises! The job was the most carefully spec'ed I've ever encountered and they saved me money by not having to use my old flu which needed an expensive relining. Techs did careful, neat work, were highly experienced and courteous to deal with. Overall, I'm very happy and would use Unique again. They are not cheap, but the price was certainly fair given that it's essentially two heating systems and it's a high quality, high-efficiency system. "

FAQs for heat pump repair or service projects in Philadelphia, PA

Heat pumps move air to cool or warm your home during different seasons. In cold weather, they extract heat from the outdoors and bring it inside to warm your home. In warm weather, they remove heat from your home to keep it cool. This efficient heat transfer increases indoor comfort, improves energy efficiency, and reduces the need for additional heating systems.

Replacing a heat pump costs between $4,200 and $7,900. The actual cost depends on the type of heat pump. Geothermal models are the most expensive to replace, with the price of the unit plus labor ranging between $6,000 and $20,000. Air source models cost between $4,500 and $8,000 to replace, while the replacement costs for a mini split unit run between $1,300 and $8,000.

The average heat pump is designed to last about 14 years, roughly the same as a central air conditioning system (12 to 15 years). Newer models can last 20 years or more. How long your heat pump lasts depends on how frequently you use it and whether you perform routine maintenance like annual tuneups.
