"Disappointing! The service was "once over lightly", the tech person in and out within 25 minutes or less. I've had Jeff here previously several years ago, the person this time was not Jeff, and Jeff did what I felt was a very thorough and complete maintenance inspection at that time, Jeff spending a good bit more time and explanation being more thorough and complete. Several of the items indicated to be done were either so quickly or hastily done that I was unaware of their being done, but can affirm with certainty that the tech person never checked the thermostat nor made any adjustments to the thermostat in evaluating the performance of the heating system. Could it be because my furnace is less than 3 years old that this service maintenance inspection was so "once over lightly"? Sorry Jeff, Karen, I feel I can do much better with other HVAC services in the future."

I really think I could not have found a better group of professionals to replace my current heat pump and air handler. Kudos to this company, I highly recommend you give them a shot at your HVAC needs. "I had a 30 year old furnace on its last legs. Given I am someone who always does a lot of research before moving forward, I did some online research and besides the company that had been servicing my existing HVAC equipment giving me a quote, I contacted 5 other companies for bids on a new furnace and AC system. In my research, I read that the quality of the install is just as or more important than the brand of the equipment. And I definitely noticed a difference in the knowledge and expertise each company presented when I met with their company sales rep / estimators. I ended up with 7 quotes (one company quoted two different brands) but two reps really stood out from the rest with their knowledge. One was Lonnie Auten with Wade Heating & Cooling. Lonnie and a Trane rep were the only two who took the time to do calculations to ensure the system was properly sized (the others just looked at the size I was replacing and asked if I was happy with how it kept the temperature). Lonnie and the other gentleman were also the only two to notice a couple issues with the way our old company had installed a humidifier. In fact, even though I just had the furnace serviced a week prior and mentioned the humidifier was leaking – the old service tech did not fix it. Lonnie saw it was leaking, went out and grabbed a tool from his car and tried to figure out the issue to stop the leak. He discovered a slight crack in a supply hose and said he could have his techs fix it if they did the install (in the end I had them replace the entire humidifier). Lonnie and the other gentlemen were also the only two to talk about federal tax credits and to ensure the whole system was AHRI matched to qualify for those tax credits. They both took the time to answer all my questions I ended up with 2 quotes on Carrier, 2 on Bryant, 2 on Trane and 1 on Lennox equipment. While not the cheapest quote, the quotes provided by Lonnie and the one Trane rep were pretty competitive. I actually had a lower quote from another Carrier dealer, but I just felt much more comfortable that Wade would provide a higher level of installation and service so chose to move forward with them. My installation took place over two days and the two installers, Scott and Brandon were very professional, on time and did a great job. They asked me if I had any questions up front, told me what they would be doing that day, and kept me apprised calling me down when needed to ensure I was ok with a few placement decisions they had to make. They cleaned up everything, walked my wife and I through how to operate everything and made sure I was satisfied. Based on my experience, I would definitely recommend Wade to others. In fact, based on my interactions with Lonnie and before my install was done, I gave my daughter and her fiancé Wade’s name and number as they needed a pressure relief valve on a heating boiler in the house they just bought replaced and were not having any luck finding someone to service it in a timely manner. Wade was able to come out, order the part and plans to install it for them next week. Very happy with my experience."

"John Mullen provided me with OUTSTANDING service when my A/C broke. I called John at 8:23 PM on a Friday night and asked him if he could help me. My home was already 78 degrees and rising with a dog and two small children. He was in his car going home from a long day's job and turned around to come to my house. He quickly diagnosed the problem as a simple blown capacitor. He replaced the part, told me how much it would probably be for a new A/C unit with and without a furnace if/when I would ever need one, but said it was not necessary right now, that my unit should run for a while longer even though it was old. Then, at 9 PM on a Friday night, after what I am sure was a long hot day for him, he took the time to show me how to clean my A/C unit with my garden hose to increase efficiency and decrease the chance of breakdown. He left my house, work completed all for only $90, at 9:08. Now that is outstanding. At no time did John try to sell me a new A/c unit or furnace, even though my units are both very old. He simply advised me of the possible cost if I wanted to do that. He went out of his way and well beyond normal business hours, to come and fix my problem for minimal cost. He was polite, clean, informative, and honest. And again, he took the extra 10 minutes at 9PM at night to advise me on routine maintenance, for free. The previous home owner had this unit serviced regularly by a different company. I initially called them and left a voice mail as they were closed. I am writing this review on Sunday afternoon and still have not heard from them. If not for John I could have been without A/C for 3 or more days. I am a critical person and do not believe in praising people just for doing their job. I am much more inclined to leave bad reviews for poor service, than good reviews for just providing the service you are paid to do. Please consider that when reading how much I am praising this man for going above and beyond. Hire him, you will not be sorry."

"My service was for 4pm.  They called and asked if they could come earlier and that was fine.  The technician was not much of a talker and seemed to be in some sort of rush and had a little bit of an attitude.  But he was here for about 45 minutes and he was able to fix the furnace and then he gave me some helpful advice at the end.  (New filters and New Thermostat)  The price ended up being $158 but they have a $25 off on Angies list.  Just so you know it costs $95 just for the tech to come out.

"After some research we asked Climatech to give us an estimate for a replacement for both the air conditioner and the furnace. The old furnace was an American Standard and we asked for an American Standard, in place, replacement, assuming a same brand replacement would be easiest. Mike Horner, Climatech's Residential Comfort Specialist, arrived on time for a scheduled appointment to give us an estimate . He had been an installer previously so was extremely knowledgeable about all aspects of most systems. We discussed several options. I wanted a simple system, easy to maintain (and repair should that be needed), without a lot of bells and whistles. He was great in working with me to find that kind of solution. One point he made was that he was always available for answering questions even out of normal working hours, and he was. He provided an initial estimate and then after emails and phone calls quickly provided several more estimates as I firmed up what I wanted. The interaction with Mike was great. I checked his proposals against the cost of the components I found on line and the work required, and his proposals were reasonable and the company was big enough to back up their work. We settled on an American Standard AUH18080 95% efficient, 80,000 btu single stage gas furnace, an American Standard Silver 13 SEER 3 ton outdoor condensing unit, a matching high efficiency evaporator coil and a Honeywell Wifi thermostat. The cost was $6350. with 1/2 paid up front and 1/2 paid after installation. Setting up the installation was easy. Jennifer coordinates all the residential work and she made sure the installation worked into our schedule. Since they are a large company they can be quite flexible. The replacement took 2 days, a Friday and a Monday. A crew of 2, Ron and Jesse, arrived at the appointed time (they worked 8am to 2pm), They took away the existing units, and installed the new units. They made changes necessary to fit the new units into the existing ductwork, and to drain the condensation from the new units properly. They drilled holes through the brick walls required by the new efficient units. To install the air conditioner they needed to go into our neighbors' yard and they were respectful of both their yard and ours. At several points during the installation I had questions and suggestions and they were very open to discussion. After the first day they cleaned up and did not leave material lying around over the weekend. They did listen to the radio while working but unlike most workmen who have the radio blaring and disturbing the whole community, they played it very low so it was only audible in the basement area. I was impressed with how well they installed things like the the drain tube which was run across the basement ceiling with fasteners at close intervals and a hard plastic tube into our wash sink, and the way they plastered around the exhaust and intake vent going through our brick wall. Instead of round corners, as others might have done, they made it have square corners so it almost looked like a brick with a hole in it. They did a very professional job. It's interesting how many skills the installers must have. They know about the furnace and the air conditioners of course, but they must also run wire and install electrical boxes, run drain lines and consider plumbing options, must drill through walls and repair walls, and must flatten landscape and prune bushes to place outside air conditioning. After the installation they went over the system with me including the new electrical connections, thermostat operation, furnace operation, etc. I would recommend this company and their team to others."

I was very pleased with how knowledgeable and honest the technician was. He could have done the repairs for $2000+, but if we needed work in the future, nobody would be able to fix it, so we're very happy that we hired someone who is going to give us all the facts up-front. All we ended up paying was the diagnostic fee, which was very reasonable, considering the service we received."
