"Disappointing! The service was "once over lightly", the tech person in and out within 25 minutes or less. I've had Jeff here previously several years ago, the person this time was not Jeff, and Jeff did what I felt was a very thorough and complete maintenance inspection at that time, Jeff spending a good bit more time and explanation being more thorough and complete. Several of the items indicated to be done were either so quickly or hastily done that I was unaware of their being done, but can affirm with certainty that the tech person never checked the thermostat nor made any adjustments to the thermostat in evaluating the performance of the heating system. Could it be because my furnace is less than 3 years old that this service maintenance inspection was so "once over lightly"? Sorry Jeff, Karen, I feel I can do much better with other HVAC services in the future."

"A great company, from the estimate to the install they were on time, informative and very professional. I really think I could not have found a better group of professionals to replace my current heat pump and air handler. Kudos to this company, I highly recommend you give them a shot at your HVAC needs. "John Mullen provided me with OUTSTANDING service when my A/C broke. I called John at 8:23 PM on a Friday night and asked him if he could help me. My home was already 78 degrees and rising with a dog and two small children. He was in his car going home from a long day's job and turned around to come to my house. He quickly diagnosed the problem as a simple blown capacitor. He replaced the part, told me how much it would probably be for a new A/C unit with and without a furnace if/when I would ever need one, but said it was not necessary right now, that my unit should run for a while longer even though it was old. Then, at 9 PM on a Friday night, after what I am sure was a long hot day for him, he took the time to show me how to clean my A/C unit with my garden hose to increase efficiency and decrease the chance of breakdown. He left my house, work completed all for only $90, at 9:08. Now that is outstanding. At no time did John try to sell me a new A/c unit or furnace, even though my units are both very old. He simply advised me of the possible cost if I wanted to do that. He went out of his way and well beyond normal business hours, to come and fix my problem for minimal cost. He was polite, clean, informative, and honest. And again, he took the extra 10 minutes at 9PM at night to advise me on routine maintenance, for free. The previous home owner had this unit serviced regularly by a different company. I initially called them and left a voice mail as they were closed. I am writing this review on Sunday afternoon and still have not heard from them. If not for John I could have been without A/C for 3 or more days. I am a critical person and do not believe in praising people just for doing their job. I am much more inclined to leave bad reviews for poor service, than good reviews for just providing the service you are paid to do. Please consider that when reading how much I am praising this man for going above and beyond. Hire him, you will not be sorry."

"My service was for 4pm.  They called and asked if they could come earlier and that was fine.  The technician was not much of a talker and seemed to be in some sort of rush and had a little bit of an attitude.  But he was here for about 45 minutes and he was able to fix the furnace and then he gave me some helpful advice at the end.  (New filters and New Thermostat)  The price ended up being $158 but they have a $25 off on Angies list.  Just so you know it costs $95 just for the tech to come out.

"After some research we asked Climatech to give us an estimate for a replacement for both the air conditioner and the furnace. The old furnace was an American Standard and we asked for an American Standard, in place, replacement, assuming a same brand replacement would be easiest. Mike Horner, Climatech's Residential Comfort Specialist, arrived on time for a scheduled appointment to give us an estimate . He had been an installer previously so was extremely knowledgeable about all aspects of most systems. We discussed several options. I wanted a simple system, easy to maintain (and repair should that be needed), without a lot of bells and whistles. He was great in working with me to find that kind of solution. One point he made was that he was always available for answering questions even out of normal working hours, and he was. He provided an initial estimate and then after emails and phone calls quickly provided several more estimates as I firmed up what I wanted. The interaction with Mike was great. I checked his proposals against the cost of the components I found on line and the work required, and his proposals were reasonable and the company was big enough to back up their work. We settled on an American Standard AUH18080 95% efficient, 80,000 btu single stage gas furnace, an American Standard Silver 13 SEER 3 ton outdoor condensing unit, a matching high efficiency evaporator coil and a Honeywell Wifi thermostat. The cost was $6350. with 1/2 paid up front and 1/2 paid after installation. Setting up the installation was easy. Jennifer coordinates all the residential work and she made sure the installation worked into our schedule. Since they are a large company they can be quite flexible. The replacement took 2 days, a Friday and a Monday. A crew of 2, Ron and Jesse, arrived at the appointed time (they worked 8am to 2pm), They took away the existing units, and installed the new units. They made changes necessary to fit the new units into the existing ductwork, and to drain the condensation from the new units properly. They drilled holes through the brick walls required by the new efficient units. To install the air conditioner they needed to go into our neighbors' yard and they were respectful of both their yard and ours. At several points during the installation I had questions and suggestions and they were very open to discussion. After the first day they cleaned up and did not leave material lying around over the weekend. They did listen to the radio while working but unlike most workmen who have the radio blaring and disturbing the whole community, they played it very low so it was only audible in the basement area. I was impressed with how well they installed things like the the drain tube which was run across the basement ceiling with fasteners at close intervals and a hard plastic tube into our wash sink, and the way they plastered around the exhaust and intake vent going through our brick wall. Instead of round corners, as others might have done, they made it have square corners so it almost looked like a brick with a hole in it. They did a very professional job. It's interesting how many skills the installers must have. They know about the furnace and the air conditioners of course, but they must also run wire and install electrical boxes, run drain lines and consider plumbing options, must drill through walls and repair walls, and must flatten landscape and prune bushes to place outside air conditioning. After the installation they went over the system with me including the new electrical connections, thermostat operation, furnace operation, etc. I would recommend this company and their team to others."

"10.4.2017 When John came to my home to check over my old furnace and air conditioner, he took his time, carefully scrutinizing the entire system and stating several improvements that all the other heating and cooling providers missed. Heating and cooling is not my business and I am no mechanic, but he took his time, explaining things to me in a way I could understand. He checked the connections of the AC and furnace to the fuse box, explaining to me that there was a need for connection updates and why. He noticed sun damage to the outside wires going to the AC, stating that the AC was actually hooked up with connections meant for inside of the house, plus the connectors need a covering to go through to keep them safe from grass trimmers. He also noted how the humidifier was just fine, but the problem was that it was not hooked up correctly and thereby not functioning. Also the humidifier was on the water heater’s cold water heating and gave his men orders to change it to the warm water tubing, with a better valve. While there at the water heater, John noticed another thing that no other service man coming through from other companies had noticed – the carbon monoxide pipe was not attached into the chimney, not even touching the wall! He had short me to stand up on a chair so I could see what he could see and he was right! There was no way that the CO pipe was reaching the tera cotta lining of the chimney; it was not even reaching the brick wall! He jammed the pipe into the hole leading to the chimney and stated that his guys would be there with a chimney liner so no CO would leak through the mortar. He showed me various system options and what they would do. John priced each component, giving a total price for each system. While other competitors included a new humidifier, John did not because he stated it was hardly used at all because of the poor attachment, so I saved money there. Considering without the important extras, he underpriced both Bryant and other Carrier dealers offering the same systems. Brian and Andy came promptly two days in a row to do all that John had written in his report to them, putting in a wonderful heating and cooling system, plus the needed extras John found. Brian and Andy were so very friendly and were very personable, as I shared my personal stories, so did they, as they continued to work hard. They always had time for my questions, telling me that I was not in the way, and pointing out exactly what they were doing and why it was being done. During those two days they were so very particular about the furnace and AC installation. The first day they did not even stop for lunch, but just made a grab for a quick nibble so they could get most of the job done that day, so that I could have furnace heat that night. The following day they completed the AC complete with a sound resistant pad. Then they climbed up onto the roof, installing the new chimney liner to attach to the water heater carbon monoxide pipe. They were so nice and kind and excellent, knowledgeable workers that I was completely at ease with their competency. Also, they were wonderful educators, making sure that I understood my new system and that I had the office number if I had any questions at all. I am a COMPLETELY SATISFIED customer!! Garland"
