"Ken arrived promptly on a Sunday afternoon to repair my air conditioner that was not cooling. After having a negative experience with another company earlier in the day who tried to scam me into buying an entirely new $9500 system, Ken was able to diagnose the problem and fix it on the spot for a fraction of the price. He was professional, thorough, and explained everything in detail. I highly recommend Ken and A Breath of Fresh Aire, and I won't hesitate to call them for my future needs!"

"Bayside Heating & Air did an outstanding job and truly met my needs. I called Bayside because of a referral from a friend. I scheduled an appointment with them for the next day. A representative came out (on time!) to review my current system and since my duct work was original to the house, it definitely needed to be replaced. It was filled with dirt, mold, and bacteria. No wonder my sinuses were so bad! I also needed a new a/c system as well. The representative took the time and explained what current system I had and what would be best for my home as well as my health (new filtration system too!) He also reviewed the price - which was very reasonable considering the amount of work I needed. The following day, a engineer came to my home to custom design a duct system that would provide the best air flow in my home. The current duct system I had was not constructed properly so my home was not receiving enough air flow. No wonder our house was so hot! The work was completed within 2 days. The crew was extremely quiet and respectful while I worked from home. They maintained cleanliness and professionalism throughout the entire process. My house feels and even smells better than ever! Its cold in every part of my home...no more hot spots...no more sweating at night! Please consider Bayside Heating & Air for you a/c and duct system. You will not be disappointed."

"They came out and looked at the air conditioning and he tore it apart right then. The next day I had a new air conditioner. I don't know any other service that handles things that fast so I thought it was excellent. They were very polite and showed me everything. They made me understand the new thermometer system as well."

"I've had them out several times. If they find any problems, they let me know. I use one of their technicians named Hank. He is wonderful. We had problems in the past with air conditioner guys coming out and mess things up. We had Hank come out and he is one of their best technicians as far as I'm concerned. I will only have Hank come out. I don't want anybody else servicing my air conditioner. They are very, very fair. If I had an issue, I had called about something and they worked it out pricewise with them. Hank is superb. He is consistent. He's very good about bringing up issues. I just entirely trust him. They are very good. If I call with a problem, they are out here within the day. They are very, very punctual. When I call for an appointment, the girls are very, very professional. I've called and everyone has always been very respectful. Hank is very respectful."

"Everything went well. The tech. was very detailed. he explained to me what was wrong with my air conditioner, and showed as well. He quoted me a price before any work was done.  Once the repairs were completed. The tech stayed for awhile to make sure the system was working properly.  So far everything is okay, and will use West Coast Cold Air in the future.

"We called and they answered and said they could have someone at my house between 4pm and 6pm. Scott Griffin arrived at 4pm. I told him about the history of my lemon AC and what was going on with it today. He told me not to worry that it was probably just a capacitor - and I thought maybe for most ACs - but this is going to cost me a couple thousand. Within a few minutes, Scott had the capacitor out, checked it, and told me it was bad. He replaced the capacitor, we turned on the AC, and it worked. He did some pressure and temperature checks and said the unit was running great. I have an interest in all things mechanical - so I stood outside with him and he answered my questions about the AC and we BSd quite a bit. He was probably here just about an hour but he only charged me for 1/2 hr labor - which is probably about how long it would have taken to fix it if I hadn't held him up with all of my questions. So - the company does charge add a $15 fuel charge which is irritating to me. I would prefer they upcharge me $15 on the part. But in the scheme of things that is a small irritation. Also on the billing you will note that there is an in and out time including driving time that makes it appear as if you a being billed for more time than you actually are. In my case it looked like I was being billed for 2hrs labor in this section but it was actually written up as .5hrs. The manager told me it had to do with accounting for time. Just an aside so you don't get yourself worked up about it like I did. Overall the service was outstanding and I will definitely continue to use them. I definitely won't use the guys that told me my "coil was out" on my brand new unit 3 times in five years! Any kind of repair service is kind of like going to the dentist - you have to trust what they are telling you and make a decision if you are going to pay for what they recommend. My impression is that you can definitely trust these guys."

FAQs for furnace / forced air heating system service projects in Tampa, FL

Most blower motors last 10 to 20 years—the same life span as the furnace or AC they serve. Annual tune-ups keep the bearings clean, the capacitor healthy, and your airflow strong. Call an HVAC pro if you hear grinding, smell burning, or notice weak airflow; catching issues early can save you from a pricier mid-season breakdown.

Plan on two to three hours for a standard swap. Your tech will cut power and gas, pull the old motor, slide in the new one, then test every setting before buttoning up the furnace. Tight quarters or extra part replacements can stretch the visit, but most homeowners are back to comfy airflow well before dinnertime.

Signs of a tired blower motor include weak airflow, unexplained spikes in energy bills, and new sounds—think grinding, rattling, or buzzing—coming from the furnace. If hot or cold air isn’t making it to your favorite chair, schedule an HVAC pro right away; catching the issue early can often mean a quick part swap instead of a full-blown system repair.

There is no difference between an AC and a furnace blower motor. Both systems use the same essential motor to circulate heated or cooled air through your home. This unit fulfills the identical role whether it supports central air conditioning or furnace heating. In some configurations, separate units might be installed for redundancy, yet their operating mechanism remains the same and efficiently delivers comfort throughout your home.
