"Our home was built in the early 1990's and had the typical single-pane, double-hung, super inefficient windows installed.  When it came time to replace our windows we decided to budget for and complete half of the windows in one phase, and the other half next year.  We have about 32 windows total.  After contacting several popular window contractors,  and receiving bids in the $18,000 to $22,000 range (for only half of our windows), replacing windows became cost prohibitive.  Morningstar Windows and Siding was my last bid received.  They came in at about one-third of the cost of the other window companies.  They installed 14 windows in spring.  I was so impressed that I had them finish the rest of the windows in the fall.  I love the results.  Our windows are very efficient, and they look great.  The installers are very professional, neat and timely.  They pay a great deal of attention to detail.  They work very hard to get the job done well and as quickly as possible, without cutting corners.

"I contacted Kyle inquiring about window repairs on my home.   After discussing what I needed, he told me my best option was to contact the window manufacturer.   Very knowledgeable and honest.

"Joe came out on time and gave us a very detailed estimate for siding and gutters with examples and pictures of his work. We were so impressed that we went ahead and ordered windows and a door for the basement. It was about 2 months before he got started but he had other jobs to finish. The installation went great. The workers were excellent and worked hard every day even in the awful heat. It took about 4 days to finish and it is just beautiful. No seams anywhere and just a quality job. Joe came out to make sure we were happy with everything. We only had one issue with the dryer vent that is easilly fixed. We would hire this company again."

"

When the two workmen arrived, I confirmed that I had purchased 8 hours of work and was told that since there were two men, they would be there 4 hours.  I gave them the list that I had discussed when the appointment was made on the phone.    I was told that they might have to work over the 4 hours to complete my list.  I had anticipated the work being done and had the new light fixtures, the part to repair the door bell and the paint  and varnish for the doors.  I did not expect them both to leave to get supplies(?) when I had everything there including drop clothes, sand paper, paint brushes, masking tape and tools to get the job done.  I do not do electrical work, but I certainly know how to paint  and what a reasonable amount of time it takes to do all of the jobs.  I was very unhappy with the finished job on both doors.  I expected them to take the doors down, sand them and apply the paint and varnish.  Instead, they were left hanging, barely sanded the chips and dented and put on one coat on each. After they dried, I called the company and said I was unhappy with the doors, and was told that to come back, they would charge another fee.  This was on top of $80.00 extra time for working past the 4 hours allotted!  I apprised the whole experience, weighed the fact that they did a good job on installing the lights and repairing the door bell and decided it wasn't worth my getting upset.  I re-sanded the door into the garage and repainted it. When I pull my car into the garage the lights shine on the varnished door streaks and poor job and I'm reminded not to use Richard Wilcox again.
