"I didn't do any price comparison. I got to tell you, when they installed my furnace, it was really kind of funny because it was a Friday and they were here until pretty late, and after they left, it all quit. So I called them, and they said we'll send somebody out, and then in a few minutes, it started working again, so I called them back and said since it's the weekend coming up and I don't need either heat or A/C, that Monday was fine. On Monday they came out and the problem there was a little something that was filling up with water and once it was full, it turned everything off. They said they had to order a new part, so if it quits working again, just give it a kick. I did, and it brought it back on. They were very responsive. I just thought it was funny as I'll get out. To give it a kick was just funny. Well I have the air conditioning and heat all hooked together there, and so it was the water from the air conditioning that was going into something that wasn't quite the right size. I really like them so do not mark them down because of that! I always feel that the things tell about somebody is if there's a problem how well they go about fixing it."

"First started working with Joe getting a quote got 2 bids which the other was cheaper, but decided to get ranger since Mitsubishi is the “top line” he said which I googled and saw it too. We talked that he will put the drainage on the car port and the vent on the side of the house. So when the date of installment came Daniel was on time and he introduce himself. I let him do his job while I was doing my own with my 3yrs and 5 yrs kids. The job was quick so when I check outside I saw that the vent was mounted on my carport. So I called Joe and ask why it was mounted on my carport he said it was in the contract which I didn’t see on the instruction. And so I have to pay if we move it. I was so disappointed! Now I can’t close my carport if I want to get a garage since vent is there. So I have no choice if only Daniel check with me first right from the start what the plan is then there will be no problem! Well the job was done got no choice. Another thing Daniel have to come back two times to fix the drainage since it keeps on leaking my carport. It was finally fixed on the 3rd time when Jared was the tech that fix it. It was so disappointing and I regret that I chose ranger cooking and heating!"

"Seatown did mostly a good job I suppose installing a new gas burning high efficiency furnace. When the salesperson was providing their initial consultation, they pointed out that our existing thermostat would have to be replaced and the 3-wire thermostat wire would need to be upgraded to 8-wire for the high efficiency furnace. They were going to charge me some exorbitant fee to pull the new wire through 5 feet of wall. When I questioned it, they knocked it down to $500. I told them I'd buy new wire and pull it through myself before they showed up. Needless to say I was pleased to find out that the technician only used 3 of the wires anyway so that attempted overcharge would have been for nothing? Also the technician very cleverly did NOT place the new thermostat on the wall such that it covered up the old hole in the wall so I had to move it after they left. I can't say I was too happy with the furnace exhaust pipe. First, they placed the exhaust pipe above our gas meter but the inspector didn't flag it so I guess there's no issue. Also they used non-paintable caulk to seal the exhaust pipe so that painting it to blend in with the siding was a bit of a problem. They also didn't provide any sort of screen for the exhaust pipe to keep animals from crawling in it. When I questioned that they said that the carbon monoxide would kill them. So their solution is to have a dead animal in our furnace exhaust? Not to mention that doesn't really work in the summer when the furnace isn't running. Other than those rookie mistakes I noticed, I'm sure everything else was done properly?"

"Kelly Chong was great! He took the time to explain everything to us and his installers were friendly and polite. When they entered the house, they would always take off their shoes and kept everything clean. They even swept the garage when they were finished. Kelly provided exceptional customer service and even came out the following week to make sure everything was good and explain the new thermostat to my wife.

"You wont find a better HVAC guy anywhere. He is knowledgeable, understanding, and makes sure his customers get what they want and need. I appreciate that he takes the time to give people options. He installed a heat pump for my mother and was kind enough to make sure she knew how to operate it. He even taught her how to take care of the filters, and offered to schedule a maintenance to make sure it stayed in good working order. This is a company that will show up on a weekend or after hours on a no heat call to take care of his customers. Alex is amazing."

Company * Competitively priced * Family owned, operated - father and sons own and install * Salesperson has interesting approach and a bit unique, but he was great about being able to work within my budget and come up with best solution for us, responsive with questions and concerns * Sell different brands. Some companies are limited to one brand i.e Daikon, Mitsubishi etc. and push the one they have My house * 1920â s, 2 levels and basement (3 total levels) * originally with gas furnace in basement, ducted throughout New System * Daikin Heat pump,1 wall unit in living room,1 wall unit basement, 1 ducted attic unit for top floor to bathroom, 2 bedrooms Good- * each level can turn on off and regulate tempurature * Able to remove my furnace and make more room in my basement * We now have AC ð * Wall units are pretty decent at the â Automaticâ setting for the fan and temperature regulation Could be better (not bad) - * The temperature guage for the ducted unit is in the hallway(as most systems probably are) where you use the remote to operate, issue is the temp in the rooms could be colder/hotter than the hallway, so we end up having to keep the doors open to regulate(also the air return is there so it needs to do itâ s thing) * Obviously the wall unit in the living room may not be the best to look at, I did get the best looking one by Daikon though and dont mind it, but it does actually â blowâ the air, so we are unable to put any plants in the pathway of the air movement because it heats it up too much in winter, it makes a blowing noise like any fan would (ducted systems dont make any fan sound obviously) * Heat out of wall units are not burning hot like a furnace * basement bedroom doesnt get that much heat from the wall unit, but I when deciding on system and accepted this sacrifice, better than nothing Installation process * Good: * The guys were great, dad and son came for installation * quiet, efficient, cleaned up * Few issues all communicated and taken care of timely * Tricky tight space outside to install the heat pump and they worked with me through it and it passed. * Issues: * Inspection - only problem with the attic unit not being lifted off the â floorâ giving enough space for servicing, they fixed * Intallation - One issue that was not so understanding nor happy with was that when they had ran the connections from the wall unit in the living room to the Heat Pump and drilled a HUGE 4" hole in my floor joist, more than half the width. But, it appeared this large of a hole was not needed to run through the joists as the same connections were run through the exterior of the house to the heat pump with a much smaller hole. Follow Up Service * There has been a couple small â emergenciesâ * I had some electrical done, which clogged the return filter of plaster dust and made the system start leaking water on my ceiling. I guess this might not have been a problem if there was not a clog, but it did raise a flag to the unit being slightly tilted and uneven and making the overflow redirect away from proper overflow draining tubes. * Not their fault at all, I started noticing leaking on my exterior wall and thought it was the condensation from my wall unit in living room. They were able to come out right away and fix. The problem turned out that my basement contractor had cut and removed the condensation tube that led to outside so it was just dripping within my walls. Overall, these guys are great, and with expensive investments like your HVAC system, itâ s nice to know that their team stands behind their work and products and are there..."
