We used all Top of the line Gould Equipment. I probably should call Doug to replace it again because breakdowns with the water system can leave you stranded."

He provided us with estimates for a number of options - similar to those from other HVAC companies that quoted for this work. Alex made the one and a half hour drive to visit with us again, to walk us through the contract details, and to explain install process. This was a really nice touch as usually contracts are signed electronically these days. My 1952 house was not equipped with a vent, nor proper traps for either the washing machine or sink. There were sewer gases backing up on occasion, into the sink area, which is of course unpleasant.

Robert installed the traps, then came back to add the vent to the outside of the house. He did not have to go through the attic and roof. The end result looks like it was built with the house, and blends in well with the exterior.

After working on the unit for about an hour he determined that the unit had died and there was no hope reviving it - it was 14 years old after all. WIthin a few days Henry was back and installed our new unit. Around the time he installed our unit, our second unit died. We had him replace it as well.
