John, the technician, provided a thorough analysis of what was wrong with my door, and gave me three repair options to choose from. The other 2 companies to give me bids only spoke of the immediate problem with the door, not taking into account that the system operating it was over 20 years old. Had I chosen either of them, my door would have been operational, but because of its age, would no doubt be in need of additional service a few years down the road. While Elite's bid was the highest, I feel confident that I made the best choice in hiring them to repair my garage door. Not only was John professional, polite, and punctual, he very patiently explained the purpose and function of all the new hardware he installed, as well as how to keep the garage door opening and closing smoothly for years to come. And Elite's 10-year warranty was also a key selling point. All in all, I would highly recommend this company to anyone in need of this type of service. "I contacted Supreme Window and Door to find a good solution to my home office, which is right next to a major high way. My current windows are 20 years old, and are leaking air. Road noise was free to enter, making it a really bad place for work. Albert came by right on time, and recommended a solution with laminated glass windows to me. He also explained the performance differences and cost differences. I decided to give it a try. The order took exactly the amount of time they predicted. Eric and his crew installed the windows very professionally. I noticed one of the windows was not level compared with other windows. Eric explained that it was because of the weight of the laminated glass window, and the frame itself, which is not square. However, he took extra effort to help me adjust it to a good balance. "We worked primarily with Connor, Mike and Jack to have all the windows and doors replaced in our DC row home, as well as having our back doorway turned into a large bay window and former window turned into a doorway (substantial masonry work). We had a lot of questions about the masonry work beforehand, and both Connor and Mike came out to our house multiple times (once with the mason) prior to signing a contract to walk us through the process. Connor and Mike were incredibly patient and helpful as we went back and forth via email over a span of weeks to ensure that we were 100% confident in the products we ended up selecting (Sunrise Restoration windows, ProVia doors). Connor’s communication was consistently exceptional, we would always get a quick response to emails/texts/calls and were regularly updated on the status of our order (delayed due to COVID-19). Connor was even able to provide a long-term financing option at our request. Once the products had arrived, Jack arranged our install dates and set expectations for the work. AWS showed up with a large crew of 10-12 workers who were all respectful, friendly and thoughtful as they maneuvered swiftly throughout our home. Connor and Jack were present to oversee a lot of the work, though the crew needed little direction. The speed at which the team operated was impressive, and the quality of the install did not suffer as a result. Although we had purchased inserts rather than full tear replacements, some of our window frames had deteriorated and AWS replaced the damaged wood frames without hesitation. Given the small size of our home, we weren’t able to get much done while the team was working but luckily my partner and I both had work off during the two install days. During the installation we realized that one of the initial door measurements had been off, and Mike very kindly offered to order a correctly sized replacement door at no cost to us. A couple months after the initial install, Connor and Jack returned when the replacement door was ready and also inspected all the windows and doors to ensure that everything was perfect. I cannot overstate the level of dedication to customer satisfaction we experienced with AWS. As I said, this was not a small job and we could not be happier with the final outcome. Even when unexpected challenges arose along the way, Mike, Connor and Jack put our wants and needs first in determining the appropriate solution. AWS is a truly professional operation, and we’d highly recommend them to our family/friends/anyone considering new windows or doors."

"Dan Millard and his crew were wonderful to work with in the updating our mid 80?s kitchen.  Dan was very responsive to our ideas and quickly got proposals together for our review.  And he worked with us to find the right balance of value and cost for the remodel.  We fortunately already had good quality Cherry cabinets so the job focused on the update of our flooring, new counter tops and the replacement of aging appliances.  The work was scheduled quickly without much wait time. The AKC construction crew (Cameron and Josh) were hard working and skilled craftsman who produced a beautiful look to our remodel job.  Some examples:  They figured out how to get the slightly oversized refrigerator to fit into our tight cabinet cut out; the flooring was laid in a beautiful visual pattern using the variations in the tiles perfectly and the granite tops we selected were seamed almost invisibly.  In addition slight glitches were cheerfully remedied quickly.  They even came back after all the bills were paid to adjust a problem with the installation of the of the dishwasher door.  
 
We would recommend them highly and would work with AKC again.

"There were a lot of issues initially and I contacted Angie’s List and you were able to help us resolve it. What happened was that I got the deal, I wanted my daughter to use it because the kind of windows that they were going to install weren’t appropriate for my house and I felt that my daughter can profit from that under the circumstances better than I could. So she took the deal and it was not so good initially because apartments were not kept but it turned out fine because they got the windows done and they were pleased with them. They honored the price for two windows. The problem was with scheduling and that sort of thing. The issue was not really honoring the commitment to come at a certain time or to get the work done by a certain time. They did a good job of installation once they did it. I only had one contact with them and I wasn’t happy with that because he wanted to do a complete inspection of the house and I was focused on the windows not so much so on insulation. So I knew that wasn’t good for me and I wasn’t happy with that interaction but here again, in all fairness my daughter was satisfied with the interaction that she had."
