"Awesome company! Called on Friday and they came out first thing Saturday morning. Another company supposedly tried to snake the drain then told me the drain couldn't be unclogged and the basement floor had to be dug up to get to the main pipe to replace it- $5,000- $7,000!! Along came AllClear and said there was no way the drain could have been snaked without cutting the pipe as it was a double sink- so he cut the pipe and found the clog in the trap- snaked the main pipe where there were no problems and now the water runs right on through. So happy - will definitely call again for any future needs!! Also referred to friends and family!"

"Called around to different vendors from Angielists before settling on Hoffmann and Sons. Dane and Fedi came on time, I think even a little early. They removed the old water heater and installed a 40 gallon gas Bradford White heater with a pan. A new supply value was also installed and all the piping and gas connections were checked to make sure they were updated to code. The filing of the permit with the township was also included as part of the overall price. They also stopped by at no charge to re-pipe the master bathroom sink. There was a shared wall between the new water heater and the master bathroom."

"Process was very smooth! Guys came by to see what needed to be replaced, and gave me quote (product plus labor) quickly after. Found a good price for the toilet I picked out — and we organized a date for them to come by and install it. Very responsive between original estimate and install date. Easy install day-off and left the bathroom very clean. We may use this company again for a few other plumbing needs. Huge thank you!"

"During diagnosis of the original digital valve problem, they discovered a leaking, non-code exhaust vent on the furnace in the boiler room.  <br /> They immediately stabilized the unit and ordered the proper components to bring it up to code. The furnace and the digital valve repair required several visits by the owner and his two assistants. The professionalism and hustle were remarkable. The repair of the drywall is impossible to find if you don't know where it is. <br />"

"The day before, Keith came out to determine the reason for the heating unit failure, and determined that it was a faulty gas valve.  The following day, he came out and replaced the valve, solving the problem.  We also had some issues and questions regarding heating inconsistencies with the other unit, and he was kind enough to check out the entire house and provide some insights.  He was professional, efficient and straightforward.  At no point did I think he didn't know what he was doing or that he was trying to increase the severity merely to get more money.  In fact, I would say that he went out of his way to provide a solution to the immediate problem, without even hinting at suggesting superfluous fixes.  I would use First Source again in a heartbeat, and would certainly recommend their services. <br />"

"Steven took my call late in the evening and came the next morning, on time. He also helped me shut off the water over the phone as I texted him pictures of the pipes -  which saved me an entire night of mopping! He fixed a burst pipe and I had heat and hot water in a few hours. I wouldn't hesitate to call him again since he is knowledgeable, prompt and most importantly - fixed the problem quickly. <br />"

FAQs for gas piping projects in Ringoes, NJ

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
