"The Pros: While Extreme did call me shortly after I asked for a quote, I missed their call and didn’t call them back until late that afternoon. They still managed to get a technician out to my house to quote me that same evening. The technician who provided the quotes didn’t try to sell me on anything. He just gave my HVAC unit a quick once over and after a brief discussion provided me with a quote. The price I was billed matched the price I was quoted and the pricing was competitive compared to other quotes I received. This isn’t always the case with contractors, so always – get more than one quote! I was level set that the install could be either the following Monday or Tuesday and they were able to begin the installation on Monday. The installation team arrived as promised. They were friendly, worked quietly, and took care to respect my home while they were working. My old HVAC system needed disposed of and they had to fabricate parts to fit my utility space and both were handled well. The work space was cleaned up, the installation team closed our back yard gate when they left which is of importance to me because I have pets, and they took time to explain everything they did. In addition, they gave me advice on how best to maintain my unit and what I could expect with the service plan I’d chosen for the product I purchased. Weeks after my HVAC installation was complete, I had an issue with the A/C unit (see below). Extreme was quick to get a technician on site to address the problem. They were on site within a few hours of my phone call which in the contracting world is pretty fast. In addition, there was no charge for the visit. Room For Improvement: The installation team didn’t call when they were on their way. They were within the promised window, but it would have been good to know when they were en route from their previous job. The installation took most of the work day which I chalk up to my installation team had journeymen who were still learning the ropes. It’s not a ‘con’ rather it’s just something their newer techs need to be mindful of. About 2 ½ weeks after my A/C unit was installed it stopped working. It required service due to firmware needing an update and low refrigerant due to a leak in the A/C line. Both issues should probably have been addressed by the installation team. I’m not listing this as a “Con” because I was level set that they were journeymen and I didn’t object. Working out kinks in the system comes with the territory with any piece of engineering – but they should be mindful going forward to check for firmware updates and test for leaks in the coolant line after install. The Cons: Two words – customer service. A call taker should NEVER say the words, “If you’d have let me finish…” nor should they ever talk to you as if you were a child. This shouldn’t dissuade you from using Extreme because I’ve found that soft skills are lacking just about everywhere I go and in every industry I come in contact with. Overall Impression: I highly recommend Extreme One Hour. They act with integrity; they appear to be tirelessly working to gain customer trust through professionalism, communication, hard work, and (mostly) friendly interaction; and when there was an issue, they were quick to identify the issue and resolve it. These are all key benchmarks of a solid organization and I’m confident that all my HVAC needs will be met for the foreseeable future. Date of Original Install: 6/24/2019 Date of Repair: 7/12/2019"

"I needed an entire new house system with all duct work installed and lines and power. I had window units for air and baseboard for heat. Greg's team was great to work with. Always on time and very professional. Did a great job on the install and I love the system Can't even hear it run. They worked and listened to me on ideas I had on what I wanted to have done, and we worked well together to come to a final solution that worked, as some of the ducts was hard to install. Hi! I am a chemical engineer specializing in industrial utilities by trade who enjoys fixing and building things in my free time. I offer services such as furniture building, home appliance repairs (ovens, refrigerators, freezers, dishwasher, garbage disposal, washer/dryer, water heater, A/C, furnace, sump pump, etc) small scale plumbing or drainage projects/repairs (exterior storm water drainage, pvc/copper piping- I do not do cast iron, faucets, etc). I can install new appliances, but might need help lifting and setting the appliance (I do not dispose of old appliances). I also can repair kitchen stand mixers such as Kitchen aids (rebuild/regrease).

"Jeff and his associates did a great job installing our Heat Pump/AC unit. Had to replace some of the old components. Which was a trip to the store. But only charged me for the new components no added labor. Which took about 1 hour to install. Also installed a new wifi thermostat. I would highly recommend West Chester H/AC."

"I really like the online appointment setting. My water heater pilot light would not stay lit, starting on a Saturday night and I was able to schedule a non-emergency appointment for Monday right then. The technician was very prompt, courteous and professional. He was able to measure that their was no voltage coming from the thermopile and determine that the part needed was either the thermopile assembly kit or the gas valve assembly. He also was able to help me look up the warranty information, show that my water heater was under warranty for parts still and the number to call to order the part. He also scheduled an installation appointment for the day my parts were scheduled to arrive right then. I received the estimate the next day, while waiting for the parts to come the following day after that. The installation prices seemed really high considering the price of a new water heater. The estimate for installation of both parts when they arrived, the thermopile and gas valve assembly, was $700. I canceled my appointment, knowing that if my husband and I could not put the parts on ourselves or find someone we know with water heater part experience, then I could buy a whole new water heater for that estimate price. We drained our water heater ourselves, and from there our HVAC/Furnace family member was able to install the new parts, check for leaks, refill, and start up the water heater with no problems in under 2 hours. While the customer service from Flow-Rite was very good, the high priced estimate was very unreasonable. The initial service call was worth $50, but I would not call them again based on their service prices.

"I couldn't be any more pleased with the absolutely great job Hi Tech Duct Cleaning did. When I called to inquire, Aaron did a very thorough job explaining what they would do. He also asked how many registers and returns I have so he was able to give me an exact estimate that held true to what the final cost was. The technicians on the job were Caleb, Jason, and Will. They were very conscientious and professional. There is no way any other duct company could do a finer job. If you're thinking about having your ducts cleaned, don't wait. You'll be glad you did.
