I was told the repair would be $1,500. Although hesitant, I agreed to proceed because I needed heat. The repair was completed, I paid $1,524.90, and the technician left. I later realized I had not been provided with an invoice, so I called the company directly at 781 438 4114. The person who answered the phone emailed me an invoice. The invoice listed an HVAC diagnostic fee of $69.00, followed by ?HYD 170,? with no price or itemized breakdown provided. I understand that professional services and parts can incur significant costs, it is unreasonable that the part alone could account for the entire charge without any supporting documentation. The process began about three months ago with Jesse, a Certified Water Specialist, who thoroughly tested our water and designed a comprehensive system. He was patient, informative, and never pushy while I took time to decide. Installation was completed this past Monday and included sediment filtration, a water softener, radon and PFAS removal, and reverse osmosis to our drinking water and refrigerator ice maker. Patrick, the senior technician, and his assistant Ronald were professional, knowledgeable, and did a very clean, well-organized basement install. Patrick took the time to explain how the system works and what maintenance is required.
