"Sila was excellent to wok with. They had the experience and knowledge, plus a competitive price and financing options. Their installation crew was very good to work with - respectful of the house interiors, and cleaned up everything inside and outside. Also asked the appropriate questions when any installation matter offered a choice."

"They installed our AC system; that went fine. But several years later, when it needed repair. They came out and looked at the problem, and then ghosted me. They didn't return my multiple calls. When I finally got somebody else to come out to look at the problem, they told me that the warranty had just expired on the part that needed replacing. Putting 2 +2 together, Buric ghosted me to run out the clock on my warranty for the repair of the product they installed. Would you ever hire anybody who behaves like that???"

"Install of new Carrier HVAC began at 8AM and did not end until midnight. Service Manager had to get out of bed at 10pm to come supervise, finding debris all inside my house and out in the yard. The install techs were still reading installation instructions when their supervisor arrived. My home was not respected. Senior officials visited the following week to apologize and offer service incentives and a discount. The unit does not operate correctly and multiple service appointments to fix have all been no shows. Terrible company!!!"

"Use GREAT caution when signing up for the maintenance plan. Called yesterday to schedule a visit to assess a problem with the supplemental unit we use for a sunroom. When I called Beltway I gave the make/model of the unit and the woman booked us for the next morning. I cleared my schedule for the 8-12 window given. At 8:26 I received a message saying that Beltway does NOT service said-unit. Not only was I told that it was covered during the IN-PERSON visit when agreeing to the yearly service plan - I was also told when scheduling the appointment that they could service this unit (I had pulled out the manual to give them the specific Make/Model # if requested). When Julio the manager called after the cancellation he could not even give me the name of another repair company. It feels like we've been mislead or scammed."

FAQs for central humidifier installation and replacement projects in Savage, MD

A crawl space dehumidifier is a worthwhile investment, particularly in humid climates or if you've noticed musty odors, mold growth, or wood deterioration. Though costs range from $3,000 to $9,200, this investment helps prevent structural damage that could require far more expensive repairs later. Beyond structural protection, a properly dehumidified crawl space contributes to better overall indoor air quality and may reduce allergens throughout your home. Consider having a professional assessment to determine if your specific situation warrants this investment.

Addressing crawl space moisture effectively often requires a combination of solutions. A complete approach includes encapsulation plus dehumidifier installation. For minor moisture issues, a basic dehumidifier starting at $1,500 may suffice, while severe problems in larger spaces could require systems costing up to $14,000. The most effective moisture control strategy depends on your specific conditions, making a professional assessment valuable for determining the most cost-effective approach for your situation.

For a crawl space measuring 1,500 square feet, you'll need a dehumidifier with a daily capacity of 30 to 50 pints, with unit costs ranging from $150 to $600. Your local climate and existing moisture levels may necessitate adjusting this capacity—homes in particularly humid regions might benefit from higher-capacity units. Professional installers can measure your specific humidity conditions and recommend equipment that is appropriately sized, balancing initial cost with operating efficiency for your unique situation.

Crawl space dehumidifiers add $300 to $500 to your annual electricity expenses when operating continuously. Energy-efficient models reduce this consumption by roughly 15 to 30% compared to standard units. Most contemporary dehumidifiers feature humidity sensors that automatically cycle operation based on current conditions, helping manage energy usage. Proper crawl space encapsulation significantly improves efficiency by creating a controlled environment that requires less dehumidifier runtime, thereby reducing ongoing electricity costs.
