On a whim, I scheduled an energy analysis with LG&E to get a perspective from someone with no dog in the race money-wise, and found out that our home was as inefficient as an old, Victorian house you would find in old Louisville. I needed new ductwork, insulation, and my furnace/air conditioner fixed. Brandon identified a couple of serious problems left by the installers of the original air unit: the furnace was not on a dedicated circuit breaker, and the furnace installed was meant for twice more square footage than our home had. It was discovered that this was meant to compensate for the collapsing ductwork embedded in our concrete slab--a problem that the original contractor did not want and could not deal with. Long story short, KY Energy Pro swapped out our furnace for a more efficient one (free of charge with warranties attached) so that they could install ductwork in the attic with air flowing in the right direction (up instead of down into the slab). We also had them insulate the roof deck as the LG&E energy analyst recommended to ensure the new ductwork was optimally enveloped. In the middle of getting all of this work done, we ran into other problems (electric, gas, and water) which Brandon does not handle, but I cannot emphasize enough how flexible KY Energy Pro is about working around other contractors. Where other contractors might rush to get their piece of a renovation done, Brandon and his team waited patiently for necessary repairs to be performed in order to safely solve for our air system problems. "Everything went smoothly from start to finish. The sales associate came out and gave an estimate on the new windows and explained the benefits of a quality window vs. a cheaper window. He was very informative and not make us feel pressured in any way to purchase. We did purchase from Energy One because of the quality and price of the windows. The ordering process was quick and easy. The windows arrived in about 3 weeks and were installed in 1 day. The installers were quick and professional. We have lead paint, so they had to seal each window before removing the old window and installing the new window. Even with this additional step, they were finished quickly, cleaned up all the debris and hauled away our old windows before the end of the day. We had ordered two obscured windows for our bathrooms. The company had shipped the wrong panes for our order. Energy One took care of this quickly and made sure that a contractor came out and switched the clear sashes for the obscured ones as soon as they came in. They even had a company come out to professionally clean the windows for us! We just bought the house and moved in a couple of months before ordering the new windows. Unfortunately we don't have old energy bills to compare and contrast, but already we can tell a big difference just in the temperature of our house. I can't wait until next winter when we have a couple of heating bills to compare! <br /> We have been very pleased with the windows so far. They are beautiful from the outside as well as the inside. We love the security feature that is built in, being able to open them from the top or bottom, the ability to move the screen from the bottom to top and the ease of cleaning. "I was completely satisfied and very happy with the job that KY Spray Foam did in my house. I had had another quote done by another local spray foam company, which came in well above the national average cost per square foot. KY Spray Foam came in at the national average, and based on reviews from Angie's List, Home Advisor and other customers, I went with them. They arrived precisely on time with an adequately sized crew to perform the work in one day. They were very thorough in the prepping of and clean up afterwards of my house. <br /> Chris Otto was very quick to return my phone calls and texts leading up to the installation, and had answers for my numerous questions. "Breathsafe did a wonderful job with installation! They worked fast and in some yucky weather too get our right on mitigation system installed! They are very fairly priced and you can tell that they don’t make it a goal to profit off of customers, but rather just make a living. VERY kid friendly couple, Lances wife played hide and seek with my 4 year old. 😂 I would bring them back for any project they are qualified to complete!!"
