"Excellent! We could not be happier with the work that Sean and his team did for us. They built us a beautiful screened-in porch (on a new deck), from soup to nuts, with everything we needed. The work product and attention to detail could not be beat. I can't say enough about how positive the experience was, from beginning to end. Sean was able to work with us in our budget, and find innovative and cost-effective solutions along the way when we had to make some adjustments to the project. He made solid recommendations for where our money was best spent and where we could find some savings, which we really appreciated - and his judgment was spot-on. His team (project manager Jaime) were professional, courteous, respectful of our neighbors, and careful to clean up and leave the site in good shape. They started the project even before anticipated and the actual construction time on site was very fast and ahead of schedule. This past year in particular, I know they've been in great demand -particularly with word of mouth and when neighbors see the work they do - and we're so glad we persisted, absolutely worth a short wait to get the best. Sean told us exactly where we were in the queue and they found a way to get started early - and as busy as they are, he always answered our calls and/or returned our calls immediately. We also particularly appreciated the benefit of his experience - he's extremely knowledgeable about options for different materials and manufacturers, and has great relationships with suppliers that he's able to draw upon, even while other contractors have to wait on materials during the pandemic construction boom. This made the project move very fast. We also appreciated the attention to small details that made the end product even better - things other contractors we spoke with hadn't thought of (e.g., a "beverage railing cap" to put your drink on; adding a mechanism to the door to our under-decking storage so no on accidentally locks themselves in; etc.). The whole experience was very positive, and we LOVE our new porch. Everyone who's seen it has been so impressed - including friends with construction knowledge - telling us what a quality job they did. Can't recommend them enough!"

"We hired Deck & Shed Pros for a diverse set of projects: a custom-built shed, replacement of our window wells, and some repairs to our stone patio. And we couldn’t be happier with how all of them turned out! During the contract phase, Jim, Jen and Victor were incredibly patient in answering all our questions. They were also very flexible on any design issues, ensuring that the projects could be done exactly how we wanted them. For example, they were able to use the same brand and color of vinyl siding on the shed that we recently had installed on our addition (so now they match perfectly), and they adjusted their plans for the window wells to accommodate our chosen style of wells/covers and the necessary depth for digging them out. When Victor and his crew came to install the window wells and make some patio repairs, the work was done beautifully and efficiently. The crew worked really hard, and they cleaned up the yard afterward so there was no debris left behind. One basement window pane got cracked as they were removing the old brick-and-concrete window wells, and they did a wonderful job of replacing the whole window with plexiglass (which was a painstaking task given the age of the window and how it was installed). People don’t usually think of window wells as beautiful, but the new ones that they installed for us (galvanized steel with polycarbonate covers) have totally transformed and modernized that part of the house. Victor and his team were so friendly and easy to work with. They also poured the concrete pad for our shed, making sure it was smooth and level—and in the exact location that we wanted. Victor even spread grass seed and straw over any disturbed areas. When the shed was ready for installation, the manufacturer’s crew came out to build it on-site. They were super professional, and the whole thing was done in about 6 hours. It’s made of high-quality materials and it’s gorgeous to look at—really complements the style of our home. A couple items had been missing from the shed kit, so someone came right out a few days later to make the necessary fixes. When we saw that it needed a single step under the side door, Jim had someone here within about a week to build one from scratch. Everyone was very prompt and responsive to any issues that came up. Through all of it, the communication with Jen and Jim was outstanding—they were always reachable by phone or email, and Jim would send out email updates every Friday, to keep us apprised of any developments or changes to the timeframe. I highly recommend Deck & Shed Pros for sheds, decks, or any other outside contracting work. (If you’re not sure whether it’s something they do, just ask! We didn’t know what kind of company to hire for the window wells, but they got it done with no problem.) We are thrilled with the results and wouldn’t hesitate to call them again for other jobs in the future."

"I am very happy with the job. The salesperson, Kevin, was on time and knowledgeable without being pushy or overbearing. He gave me the Angieslist discount, too, which actually made the price a little bit less that the other 2 quotes I had received. Due to all the recent bad weather, they were backed up a little bit on installations, and it might be 3 or 4 weeks before they could get to me. He was right on the mark - installation was exactly 4 weeks later! While I wish it could have been sooner, it's not the company's fault the weather's been so awful. Kevin measured and marked where our new fence would be, and about 2 weeks later one of the foremen came out to double check the markings. Very thorough. I found the office staff to be friendly and considerate. Dottie called to schedule installation a week ahead, and I picked one day, only to realize a few minutes later that I needed a different day, so I called back to switch, and she was more than happy to accommodate me. On installation day, the crew arrived about 45 minutes earlier than scheduled, which to some may be an inconvenience, but I loved it, because it meant my fence would be done sooner! Jason and Daniel were A+. They were both extremely polite and communication was excellent during the install. They were efficient and they cleaned up after themselves. They even cleaned up the extra dirt from digging for the new poles. There was a third man here for part of the morning (he delivered the new fencing supplies and hauled away the old), but unfortunately I didn't get his name, or I'd give him a shout out, too. There was a small glitch in that I had ordered and paid for an upgraded gate latch but only received a standard latch. They could not replace the latch that day, because they didn't have one with them, but I said as long as I wasn't charged for the upgraded latch I didn't get, I was fine with the one they installed. Jason said he would alert the office, but also said I should call, so I did. Once again, staff was very polite. They took my information, and then a few minutes later, Francisco called. He apologized for the error and said they would adjust my bill. I received a corrected contract from Kevin a few hours later, but he said they will send me an invoice for the corrected amount (so I didn't even have to pay the balance that same day!) It was nice to deal with such an efficient, honest, polite company, and the new fence looks fabulous. I would definitely use Fence & Deck Connection again."

Their price was fair (right in the middle of the quotes I received from other companies) and Marc and his crew were really easy to work with. Throughout the course of the project, Marc kept us posted on expectations leading up to our start date and then stayed in constant communication with us during the construction phase. When we needed to make minor tweaks or changes, Marc and the crew were always open to our ideas and continuously stressed that our satisfaction was their goal.
