I contacted TruPlumbing and Tom was dispatched for the job... he contacted me to set up a time and date for the service call and also gave me a quote and the option to buy my own parts for the job, telling me what was needed, Tom arrived on time and had both jobs completed in a few hours; he was very professional, covered his shoes so as not to track dirt into the house, and explained what all he had done. "There was water in the basement. The plumbers came and said there was something clogging the drain and that the terra cotta sewer pipes had collapsed. They gave me an estimate to fix it. I was upset that it was so high and they asked for a down payment. I asked why it cost so much and they said they didn't know the extent of the problem yet. They did come on Nov. 11th to fix it, but they left half of the concrete they dug up there. They didn't have room in their truck because they had to go buy a hot water heater for someone else and while they were in Butler, they wanted to get it since they live in Karns City. About 2 or 3 days later they came and picked up the concrete, but they left dust all over the floor. They did not bring a shop vac, and they used my broom to clean up the dust. There are still pieces of concrete on the floor, the floor is dusty, and there is a sewer gas smell. I didn't notice it right away because I had a sinus infection which impaired my sense of smell. One of them came out to fix it, but the smell came back. They have never come back after repeated calls. I only got a receipt for the down payment of $1368.75. I never got a receipt for the work done on Nov. 11th and no contract at all which they initially discussed. I don't know if they charged me the balance of $2833.31 or only $1500 which was what came out of my bank account. My card wasn't working right, so I may have paid the balance from another card. I want an accounting of the payment from Nov. 11th."

"It is on the verge of 2026 and I am still finding examples of the terrible work we received from PRC back in 2019! I have constant reminders of the regret that I have from hiring this company. The latest is an exposed outlet that we were never told about and that I recently discovered because I had to remove a cabinet drawer. Please see the the attached photo and I recommend reading my entire review. Proceed with caution, if you decide to use PRC. I will never understand why they could not provide us the same level of quality that others mentioned in their reviews. Poor work is one thing, but this is a safety issue, and I am grateful that we have not had a fire. I will be consulting with an attorney to determine if any action is possible. "I called Martin at 9:15 on Sep. 10, after 3 days of torrential rains from a Hurricane that moved up the coast. They were at my house by 1:00 the same day with a new heavy duty pump. After uncovering the system, it was discovered that a fitting on an elbow had blown off, simply pumping the water back into the tank. They fixed the issue, and simply charged me a service call. I didn't know these guys or this company, but it was recommended and I checked them out on Angie's List. They are A+, great service, quality people. They will get my business when the pump does fail completely. Hope that is not soon though."
