"The BEST phone call I have made this year for a service needed in my home was to Mirsky Heating and AIr. I called in the middle of a So. Cal heatwave because my thermostat had stopped working and I needed to replace it. How often does an AC company, in the middle of a heatwave, tell you they can come the same day? NEVER!! Except for Mirsky..Darrow told me that he would try to make it work..and he did...which I will be forever grateful!!! He checked in with me during the day to assure me that he was coming and not to leave work until he was more clear on the time he would be at my home. He showed up with another Mirsky employee named John..they were both super friendly and so helpful. Darrow found the problem and within 45 minutes, the thermostat was replaced and everything was up and running again. Well trained by LA Tech, and professional from start to finish, Robert diagnosed and resolved my wiring and capacitor issue quickly. The fix was $485 not $8000 to replace the unit. "The service went great. One technician came out and completed the job in about 30 minutes to an hour. The vents had not been cleaned in about 20 years and really needed it.  They were very direct and did what I needed. I had no problem scheduling the deal."

"Poor Communication. Angie's List told me this company will call me two days after I purchased the service. Well, guess what? I had to call them after 7 days when no one bothered to call or email me. Their reason: "you did not leave us your contact number." Hello??? Don't you have it in my AL's account? This is the only company I dealt with from AL that asked for my contact info.

Poor Service. When the technician came with only 3 small tools in one hand (may be 3 screw drivers) I thought he had no intention of cleaning my furnace according to the contract. True enough, after looking at my furnace and let it run for a few minutes he told me my furnace is defective and needs to be replaced. He was sorry to give me the bad news but he will send me a quote for a brand new furnace system. Well, guess again? The quote never came...no calls, no nothing! He was in and out of my house in less than 10 minutes. That was easy!

I ended up cleaning the furnace myself, thanks to YouTube. Now my furnace is running good and I'm enjoying my warm winter.

There is a good reason for the B Grade for this company. The only reason I hired them is proximity and low price. But as they say: you get what you pay for!

"We moved to our home few months ago and had to replace the HVAC system. The AC Company had to go inside the attic and they noticed a problem with the insulation there. He quoted me a good price for replacement that I can't refuse. The central AC was replaced with no hitch and on time. Want also to appreciate the work of Joseph and Joshua who were very courteous in installing the condenser and duct. What I admire most is Perry who sent a crane to pick up my old heavy AC from the hillside backyard of my house which is impossible to bring it up to the street level. He is really a gentleman to pursue his promise to pick it up after I already paid the unit and services. "Our central a/c unit stopped working yesterday evening in 100 degree heat. I immediately called Vigen (at 7:10PM on a Friday btw) and he picked up and squeezed us in the next day. He came today (8/29/15) and had us up and running again in 30 minutes. The starter needed to be replaced. We are so very grateful. Vigen and his guys at North Air really know their stuff. They're punctual, courteous, fair, and do great work.
Two years ago, our central a/c unit was rattling terribly on the roof. We called a few different companies for estimates and liked Vigen's the best. All of the estimates cited similar issues with the install we had done in 2009. The a/c unit was not properly attached to the house...it wasn't draining right...also there were problems with how the furnace was installed in the attic...and I don't remember any more details two years later. What I remember is that the unit was no longer rattling on the roof and suddenly the house was getting much cooler, much faster, much more quietly. 
We also really like the mini-split unit that North Air installed in the garage. It works great and is virtually silent. We will continue to use North Air for all our HVAC needs. It's a relief to know we have a dependable company to call when things get way to hot or way too cold....
