"Rarely do I leave a review but my experience with McLaughlin was 5 Star. I had cellulose insulation blown into my garage ceiling. The installers Dino and his crew member were great. Very friendly, took the time to explain the process and clean up exceptional !!!! Thanks Dino"

"My small 1930 two-story home had zero insulation in the walls. I dreaded another winter of paying outrageous prices for gas heat to keep the house barely warm. ABT Insulation to the rescue! José and Walter were professional, friendly, efficient, and respectful of the property. They were helpful throughout the process, completed the job in 2 days, and cleaned up well afterward. My house felt warmer on the first cold day, even before the heat was on. In addition, José averted a dangerous situation while replacing the dryer vent hose in the attic with an insulated one. He found a large mass of lint clogging the old hose, which could become a potential fire hazard. I cannot say enough positive things about the whole experience. I highly recommend ABT!"

"I enjoyed talking with Mr Lavoie abut my insulation issues and was impressed with his knowledge and thoroughness. He had some creative ideas about how to insulate my attic - although when we explored these further they did not seem feasible due to some recessed lighting that was not rated for insulation. His creativity also seemed to translate into more expensive for me. His estimate was $6000 for a job I ended up paying $4000 for. He did seem to do quality work and would be very good person for difficult insulation problems. What I found unaccceptable was that he represented himself as a approved national grid contractor - they have a $2000 rebate program for homeowners who use their approved conractors. When I checked the list on line his comapny name was not on it - I then called National grid who told me he was not a participating contractor. If I had hired this company I would have been out $2000. It ended up being an incredible waste of time for me to talk to this company."

"<p>They come out as top rated all the way down the line as far as that goes. This is for my wife's van. Over the years with my  Camry we had a mechanic that did all of our repairs for many, many years. That company was closed so for a couple of maintenance things we went with both her van and my sedan -- both Toyotas -- we went to a Toyota dealer. We were pretty happy with them, but they were not as convenient. Then she went to Fahey, so she takes hers in to Fahey. There is always somebody who is going to be cheaper. They are very friendly, there is a waiting room that is very comfortable and they will do drop off/pickup. </p>"

"We can't say enough great things about Douglas and the team at Celio Prado. We bought our home last year and have since used them twice: first for the interior and recently for the exterior. Both times they delivered fantastic results. Douglas was great with communication, they were very flexible as our preferences changed, the results were fantastic, and the price came in in-line with what had been quoted. We would highly recommend Celio Prado!"

"Overall, Fred did a good job. He was responsive in providing quote and explained details of insulation work to be performed and  energy-efficiency benefits. My chief complaint was that when his crew installed the insulation in the front walls of house, they sloppily removed a tremendous swath of shrubs running along the house. As a result, it created a large, unsightly chasm where shrubs were previously located. When I discussed this with Fred, he apologized for not telling me at the time of the quote that a large amount of shrubs would need to be removed and that he could have given me the option of removing them myself. We settled on $200 in compensation to replace four shrubs. <br />"

"I have an old roof and I wanted to get a good amount of estimates. I was a little put off that the consultation didn’t actually include someone actually going on the roof to look at it. I mean I am looking at roofing work wouldn’t a ladder be appropriate? Before even sitting down with the sales rep, I was told how old my roof was and that it basically needed to be torn down. Granted, that might have been the case, but my roof is extremely hard to see from the ground up. The area that the leak was coming from is not even visible from my yard or even across the street for that matter. Once I showed him the leak area he noticed that I had old skylights. He made a point to continue to point out how old and outdated they were. I mentioned that I was going to look into getting those replaced in the near future but right now I wanted to focus on the roof. However, once the “quote” was given to me, it included solar skylights (at an outrage price at that). Since then, I was quoted by 3 other people at half the price of what they wanted to replace them for. Again, I knew this was going to be an expensive project. I full expected that. As a positive note, I will say that the sales rep was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. The consultation lasted for probably an hour. I felt like I was in a boardroom and someone was giving me a sales pitch on the company – which wasn’t necessarily a bad thing, but my goal was to get the quote. As great as the company may be, it all comes down to the dollar amount for most people. I had to wait 60 minutes to actually be told what the quote was. I almost fell on the floor. It was $25,000 (3x the amount of what other companies were quoting me at for the same work). I’m not saying they wouldn’t have done a great job, but for me and my budget, it was extremely unreasonable. Please understand, it's not the price that has me rating this as a C. The only reason why I am giving this a C rating is because I did feel pressured to call in for financing. The sales rep mentioned numerous times that I could get approved right then and there. I told him that I hadn’t made a decision yet and he told me I could still call and get approved and they would hold it for 30 days. I felt that he was put off by the fact that I wasn’t going to do this and that I wanted to think about it. I also felt pressured as to letting him know when I would make my decision. Again, I had a lot to think about here. I wasn’t even thinking of financing as that was the last thing I wanted to do. In the end, it was at that moment (along with the astronomical pricing) that I decided to not go with this company. If it’s one thing a consumer doesn’t want to feel, it is pressure. I appreciated the options he gave, but when I say that I need to think about it that is where it should have ended, don’t pressure me further. It actually rubbed me the wrong way. As a result of this (not to mention the high pricing), I went with another company who ended up doing the same work for nearly a third of the cost and was just as professional with no added pressures."
