"Tyrone has been my heat & air provider for 3+ years. He was recommended by a friend of mine. Tyrone has always been open and honest about my ac services, unlike others, over our 3 year relationship. I again had lost service from an AC unit that was probably installed before I purchased my property. Therfore I decided to trust Jackson Heating & Air not only to provide the services I needed but to accommodate my needs as soon as possible. My last contact was on a Sunday, which I hated to do, but he responded on Monday and I was again so impressed by his work! I highly recommend Jackson Heat & Air for anyone's heat and air services. Kindnes, concern and compassion are who they are!"

"New installation went well. I was a little upset that only 50% was covered being that the unit was 19 years old. I'm sure that parts for something that old would be hard to find. Replacement was recommended."

"I used Hood's Handyman to remove and replace my aquarium following a kitchen water line burst. They worked with my insurance so I only paid for the upgrades to the tank ($300 for me). They removed my 125 gallon aquarium A LOT quicker than I thought it could be done in, saved all my corals and fish (all made it back into the aquarium alive after 2 weeks of quarantine in his personal quarantine!). They gave me great tips and advice on keeping corals and what to look for in a sump. My sump, from The Aquarium in Knoxville, was completely wrong for my system, so Daniel found me a new sump in my price range that fulfilled all my needs and more! He installed the sump, replumbed all the return and drain lines, added shut off valves, and aquascaped my tank.
Before my tank was a bit cloudy, high nitrate levels (like >40ppm!), i had trace phosphates, a algae bloom I couldn't get rid of, and I was close to giving up on my tank.
Now my tank is crystal clear, my nitrate is 0ppm (as of last night, after the tank has been set back up for almost a month now), no phosphates at all, algae bloom is gone, and for christmas we are getting more fish and maybe a controller through Hood! This place is amazing.
I will NEVER use the local fish store (The Aquarium) ever again, they did nothing but give me bad advice and sell me products I didn't need. Hood's gives me simple and easy to understand advice, gives me good prices on everything, and he is so friendly!
I would definately use this company again for anything I need around my house!
Oh! Lastly, as I am a woman and usually get run over by overbearing men ( I usually have to sic' the other half on people like that!), I would like to add that they never made me feel like what I wanted didn't matter or that I didn't know what I was talking about. They always wanted to make sure I was okay with what they were doing, where things where going and gave me logical explanations if we had a difference in opinion. I hate going to places and getting that "well, just do it this way because I know what I'm talking about and you don't" type attitude. If there was something I didn't understand, he would explain it to be in terms I understood and didn't make me feel silly for asking a TON of questions.

"We've got American Home Shield. So that kinda varies but united air temp has done some work for us. Probably a couple years ago, I think so. I think its two years ago. They did work on our air conditioning. Well you know with American Home Shield you only pay $75.00. You sign up for a year , its like something you subscribe to.  You call and contact American Home Shield and they have somebody contact you whose in line with their services and agrees to work with them. You pay $75.00 and if its not done correctly for each visit but if they come back twice you don't pay again. Its like 400 and something a year. Its fabulous, its fabulous. If you need plumbing , H VAC, lighting, its amazing. Its worth every dime. And if they can't fix it they replace it at no charge unless you want to upgrade There are some different companies but even when we refinanced our house they had us, no we bought another house in Winchester for our son. And they made us have it in with our policy and they use American Home shield. its fabulous and you don't have to do the searching or anything, If you aren't happy you just tell American Home shield. One time United Air Temp tried to talk us into , they did some plumbing work too, and they were going try to talk us into replacing it with a cheap model. That isn't American Home Shield policy its with the same thing or you can pay to upgrade. Pay the balance of an upgrade. We use it all the time. When my son has issues with his house I tell him just call American Home Shield. They guarantee they will be out within 72 hrs but its usually within 24 hours. We contacted them last week about my son's air conditioning. They came out right away, they had to order something. They had to come back out and they did last Wednesday and they fixed it."

FAQs for central humidifier installation and replacement projects in Tallassee, TN

A crawl space dehumidifier is a worthwhile investment, particularly in humid climates or if you've noticed musty odors, mold growth, or wood deterioration. Though costs range from $3,000 to $9,200, this investment helps prevent structural damage that could require far more expensive repairs later. Beyond structural protection, a properly dehumidified crawl space contributes to better overall indoor air quality and may reduce allergens throughout your home. Consider having a professional assessment to determine if your specific situation warrants this investment.

Addressing crawl space moisture effectively often requires a combination of solutions. A complete approach includes encapsulation plus dehumidifier installation. For minor moisture issues, a basic dehumidifier starting at $1,500 may suffice, while severe problems in larger spaces could require systems costing up to $14,000. The most effective moisture control strategy depends on your specific conditions, making a professional assessment valuable for determining the most cost-effective approach for your situation.

For a crawl space measuring 1,500 square feet, you'll need a dehumidifier with a daily capacity of 30 to 50 pints, with unit costs ranging from $150 to $600. Your local climate and existing moisture levels may necessitate adjusting this capacity—homes in particularly humid regions might benefit from higher-capacity units. Professional installers can measure your specific humidity conditions and recommend equipment that is appropriately sized, balancing initial cost with operating efficiency for your unique situation.

Crawl space dehumidifiers add $300 to $500 to your annual electricity expenses when operating continuously. Energy-efficient models reduce this consumption by roughly 15 to 30% compared to standard units. Most contemporary dehumidifiers feature humidity sensors that automatically cycle operation based on current conditions, helping manage energy usage. Proper crawl space encapsulation significantly improves efficiency by creating a controlled environment that requires less dehumidifier runtime, thereby reducing ongoing electricity costs.
