"We had a great experience with Franklin Heating/Cooling and their employee Tony when they came to fix our AC. From start to finish, Tony was professional, efficient, and incredibly honest. It's not every day you come across a service company that doesn't try to upsell unnecessary repairs or replacements. They took the time to thoroughly assess the issue, explain what needed fixing, and offered a clear, fair solution. We really appreciated his transparency and how he genuinely prioritized our best interest over making a quick sale. It's rare to find companies that are this trustworthy, and I will definitely be using them for any future HVAC needs. Highly recommend!"

"I bought a house from Clayton Homes and Air Management was the ones that put my unit. I had a year warranty. Since the unit was put in we had issues with no heat and no A/C. Mike came out 3 different times in a year to tell keep putting freon in it. Each time he told us the issue was our fault and not covered by warranty. He never ran any test or checked for leaks. He told us he wasn't getting paid to be there. So we decided after a year of not having ac or heat unless we ran emergency heat we would have someone else come look at it and it ended up being a leak in the coil. Mike was rude and was hard to get a hold of. He complained about having to come out so far to our house. Worse service I've had from a company."

"Showed up on time and went thru the entire crawl space checking ductwork for leaks. Totally broke down my furnace and cleaned it from top to bottom. Very clean and quality work. Was prompt on fixes and on time. We will be calling Justin back again."

FAQs for heat pump repair or service projects in Thornville, OH

Heat pumps move air to cool or warm your home during different seasons. In cold weather, they extract heat from the outdoors and bring it inside to warm your home. In warm weather, they remove heat from your home to keep it cool. This efficient heat transfer increases indoor comfort, improves energy efficiency, and reduces the need for additional heating systems.

Replacing a heat pump costs between $4,200 and $7,900. The actual cost depends on the type of heat pump. Geothermal models are the most expensive to replace, with the price of the unit plus labor ranging between $6,000 and $20,000. Air source models cost between $4,500 and $8,000 to replace, while the replacement costs for a mini split unit run between $1,300 and $8,000.

The average heat pump is designed to last about 14 years, roughly the same as a central air conditioning system (12 to 15 years). Newer models can last 20 years or more. How long your heat pump lasts depends on how frequently you use it and whether you perform routine maintenance like annual tuneups.
