"Reaching out to Building Performance Solutions, they were very quick to respond. They were able to quote me based on describing what type of insulation I was looking for along with a floor plan drawling . The price that was quoted to me was a great price. What I really appreciated was that they could perform both the Wall injections along with the cellulose insulation. The Installation went great. The team showed up on-time. The team was very professional, prior to blowing in the cellulose the team installed soffit covers to allow the attic to continue to breath. The team did a great job of getting the entire attic covered to the appropriate thickness. Wall injections went smoothly as well. The only snag I ran into was that the wall injection was water-based took a really long time to dry (~4-5 weeks) and had a smell for a while. The reason it took a while to dry is because I had the walls insulated during the middle of summer when the air was the most humid. Best thing to do is to get fans, Open the garage doors and leave them open all day. Eventually the smell went away after the insulation dried. During the drying time, Building Performance Solutions worked with me to explain the insulation drying time. I would highly recommend Building Performance Solutions for insulation."

When the crew arrived, Mike (lead guy) walked through the basement to see what he was dealing with.  Then he told me his plan of attack which involved a lot of prep work.  A lot of this job involves good prep work I learned.  So I turned them loose to do their thing.  After the spraying was complete, these guys cleaned everything up very thoroughly and left my basement in a perfectly neat condition with no overspray to speak of.  We were not allowed to enter the basement for 24 hours.  So the next day I went down to look.  It was terrific.  No smell at all and it looked like this insulation is going to make a huge impact in my comfort level and utility bill (TBD since it's still warm outside).

Don't believe any of the negative comments on the internet about "spray foam smelling"...........ZERO smell the following day.  And I have a very sensitive nose.  Spray foam gets EVERY nook and cranny and acts as a moisture barrier.  Zero drawbacks, yet it has every advantage over any other kind of insulation.  Insulation Man did a great job and I'm looking forward to the advantages of my spray foam.

"I have multiple chemical sensitivities and was looking for a good insulation that wouldn't offgas and was least likely to cause a reaction. I spoke with Jonathan at Blanket Insulation who was the first person who made me feel "heard." He did a lot of research on his own and even came out twice to quote a few different options. Ultimately, we went with a company that had a vendor-specific insulation that Blanket didn't carry. However, pricing was on par with other quotes we received, and Jonathan was incredibly helpful. (Also, he was getting married--so Jonathan, best wishes for many happy years!!) I would recommend them for traditional insulation."

"I cannot stress how great Attic Pros were with the entire situation. We purchased a house that not only had very limited insulation in the attic, but also had animal damage from raccoons. George came in and provided a quote after crawling in the attic. We had all of the old insulation removed, a biocide treatment to treat for the presence of animal contamination/feces/etc., and new insulation installed to R-60. What a difference this has made in our home - this eliminated cold spots in our split level, and the house overall stays much warmer! I can honestly tell that our furnace does not kick on nearly as much, and our bills have been markedly lower, and we have a 95% efficient furnace! All of the guys were extremely courteous and professional throughout the entire process. Also, they did not bring any of the old contaminated insulation back through our house to dispose of - this was GREAT! Other companies did not offer this as an option - they wanted to bag it up in the attic and carry it down through our house to remove. We had contamination from raccoons, this is not something I was okay with, and Attic Pros didn't even suggest this as an option. They actually cut a hole in our roof, moved everything in and out through there and then placed an attic vent over the opening when they were finished. You can't even tell - the vent blends in with our shingles. Overall, Attic Pros provided an exceptional experience and they were very fairly priced - less than other quotes we received (I almost got the feeling I was quoted high by others so I wouldn't use them). I have already recommended Attic Pros to friends who plan on using them in the near future. "They crew that came to complete the work was great. They scheduling needs to be better, they didnt inform me that 2 different crews would be coming out at different times, so part of the process was completed by 10am, but no one returned until almost 3 to finish up. The salesman told me i needed areas insulated that were already insulated. He also advised me during the inspection that the reason it was so cold in the upstairs room was due to poor insulation, well needless to say over $3000 spent and the room temperature has not changed at all so I am out money and still unable to utilize the space. I believe he told me whatever he needed to say to make a sale and that is just horrible to take advantage of people that know any better."

"I had 3 companies out from Angies LIst - King-Bur was the only one that understood the issue - the house was built in 1926 and has funny angles and different roof lines - He was the only one that grasped where the insulation should go and how to accomplish it appropiately. Such a relief. One of the other companies had some crazy idea and proposed 3x the money - His guys showed up and did a great job - cleaning up afterward. Problem solved. THis company is honest and experienced enought to understand the job and was successful in doing what was needed."
