"The plumber arrived and spent 6 hours trouble shooting water heater problem on newly constructed home. He was good and identified problems and took action to correct, but could not fix water heater issue. He discovered there was not enough power, so he could not charge for his efforts as he did not fix it. He offered a $16 and some change monthly service plan to help with costs and I agreed, but he genuinely tried his best including replacing two heating elements. His company brought two electricians who were here for 1 hour and charged over $300 to report there was a break in the wire and did not repair. Next day the builder of the house brought his electrician for 30 minutes, made repairs finding 3 wires leading from breaker box, but only 2 leading to water heater. He diagnosed a junction box somewhere was embeded that the 3rd wire went to. The two remaining wires had been accidently crossed and were wired wrong to the water heater. He corrected that and was done in 30 minutes."

"Used this company through a warranty that came with the purchase of my home. Called and they came out the same day, basically doing me a favor due to the cold temps. Adam came out at 7:30 at night and fixed my unit. He did a great job and explained things well and the company has excellent customer service!"

"The only problem I am having right now is trying to leave a review, Idid have a wonderful experience with Jarboe's. I have to give a shout out for Chuck Brown wonderful both professional and personal at the same time. He listened to concerns, answered all questions while me watching him work which is unusual with most repair technicians. I will be recommending Jarboe's for any plumbing issues ."

"UPDATE: Joe Hancock called me to tell me because I left a negative Google review, he will not refund any money nor send techs out to fix the issue. I knew he would make personal attacks when I read how he responded to other reviewers. If you are contemplating using this company, think about the type of person the owner is. Do you really want to give this man your money?? First time I used this company,, Aaron installed a new gas line and a set of gas logs for the fireplace. Great experience! The last 2 times we've used this company, the services paid for were not completed. The previous time, we called and they sent the tech back out to finish the job, which was basically telling us he couldn't fix the leak and we needed to install a new faucet. This most recent time, I called and said I thought I had a blocked plumbing vent. They sent 2 techs who never went on the roof and just capped where we are going to install a shower and toilet in our renovation. $293! And the smell is still strong throughout the house. I'll call H20 Maestro out of Lexington. I've used them for larger jobs and have never been disappointed. I wish I had called them first but worried they'd cost more. But I've learned my lesson- reliability is worth the cost, and I wouldn't be throwing away nearly $300 for nothing."

FAQs for gas piping projects in Waddy, KY

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
