Of the three companies replying, Indoor Doctor was able to send a tech out the same day to perform inspections, testing and provide answers to my many questions. The tech was very professional, courteous, etc. Indoor Doctors provided an initial quote of $199 for the visit, which only covers the visit and inspection. They break down the separate fees for each test beyond the $199 inspection. There is a separate charge for each sample test. Mold test and allergen test from the same location are considered two tests and charged accordingly. Their pricing was competitive. Their ability to come out the same day was what sold us on Indoor Doctor. "

He gave me a number of options for remediating things and showed me where we could do things in a less expensive manner--explaining the costs and benefits of the different approaches. For example, in one area he told me it was going to cost a significant amount for him to remediate and that it would ultimately be much cheaper for me to replace a section of wood railing instead of remediating the paint. This was to my benefit and his detriment, so I really appreciated it. His crew remediated 15 historic windows and they fixed some cracked panes of glass without my even asking. Kevin at All Clean Environmental Services took my panicked call on a Saturday and listened in detail about health concerns regarding “moth ball odors” in my family’s rental property. With that he volunteered to come and “check out” the offensive odors. Kevin was very discreet as well as thorough in his handling of visit to “our” home. Having never dealt with this problem he was quickly in contact with his suppliers of treatment options."

"The 1964 bulkhead I had out back was replaced a year ago, but the wood and insulation underneath (the ceiling of the walkway underground to my basement under the back living room) took in water damage and the area was very musty for years. Tom Morneault of Morneault Environmental was the only guy I could find that would not only treat the wood to remove anything growing on it/get rid of the smell, but his team also removed old wood and insulation and re-insulated for me as part of the deal, which was still hundreds of dollars cheaper than the other companies I talked to, which would only remove the old wood and insulation, they don't put anything back in. Tom's team was here by 8:30 this morning and by 2pm they were done and it looks fantastic and smells crisp and clean. They didn't even stop for breaks or have to make any trips to get supplies, they had them all in the van, including the insulation boards. Very highly recommended if anyone is in the same situation."

"Chris arrived early, well before we did (and we were early!), to start inspecting the exterior of the property. He explained up front what he could and could not do. In the process of the inspection he explained what he was looking at, the reasons for looking and what he might have found and then what he did find. We had lots of questions but he also repeatedly asked us if we had more questions. We feel that we have as good a grasp of what the pros and cons are about this new (for us) house as we can. The report is thorough (with pictures) and he will be sending us a bound copy that we expect will be our house book/bible from here on. We felt like we were his only concern.
