"We hired McLaughlin & Williams through the MassSave program, which had performed an energy saving audit for our house and made a clear checklist of work to be done that we could confirm with the contractors. We scheduled the job months in advance, but they were flexible when we needed to reschedule at relatively short notice. Jay and his team showed up early the first day, and clearly laid out the work they were going to do, and why. When weather and scheduling issues prevented work on the second day, they sent a double team on the third to make sure everything got done within the scheduled time. In general, the workers took good care. The exterior siding that was removed for injection was cleanly replaced, though some shingles that were already damaged or waterlogged were a little worse off. Despite all the dust that comes with blown cellulose, there were only a few traces inside. They also made sure our cats didn't get out. During the course of the job, they also found that there was already some wall insulation in one section of our house, and only charged us for the work done."

They use environmentally friendly, safe and very effective blown-in cellulose for cavity insulation which was challenging for our old house with numerous irregularities. Since then fuel saving became a side effect: The house stays warm even without much heating and we don't have cold-spots or chilly rooms any longer. "We cannot say enough good things about Dolphin Insulation. They replaced the existing insulation in our entire house and addressed some mold related issues we came across along the way. We are delighted with the results. Our house is much tighter and drafts we used to feel are gone. The whole process took about 2 weeks, including removing the old insulation, prepping and blowing in the new insulation. This is not the cheapest solution you can come across but it is worth every penny."

José and Walter were professional, friendly, efficient, and respectful of the property. They were helpful throughout the process, completed the job in 2 days, and cleaned up well afterward. My house felt warmer on the first cold day, even before the heat was on. In addition, José averted a dangerous situation while replacing the dryer vent hose in the attic with an insulated one. He found a large mass of lint clogging the old hose, which could become a potential fire hazard. I cannot say enough positive things about the whole experience. I highly recommend ABT!"

"The job was actually done over two different days and I can't recall the final total price, but our heating bill dropped by 1/3 right after the first job. We actually felt the difference in one room the very same day. Thermal found all the empty spaces that, logically, our contractor should have found. There was confusion over the appointment time, but that was overlooked in the subsequent courtesy and did not occur again. All said, the cost was well below what I expected to pay. I had had another estimate and it was through the roof. I only called Thermal to double check that rate."
