"Perfect! Doug is an expert Plumber that knows private water system. He removed the old equipment and installed the new. Everything is still working great. The work was done almost 13 years ago. We used all Top of the line Gould Equipment. I probably should call Doug to replace it again because breakdowns with the water system can leave you stranded."

"While I was extremely happy with my existing local HVAC company, I made the difficult decision to trust my gut and go with Grove. The Salesperson, Garrett, knew his material. He understood exactly what I wanted to do with the new unit and adding additional zones. He spent the time to explain the pros and cons of each unit and how the design and technology worked with the new features and designs. He even helped explain and clarify issues with other quotes I already had received. I was leaning towards a Carrier unit with another company, but after meeting with Garrett he gained my confidence. I decided to go with the Trane Heatpump unit for my upstairs replacement. I also had them re-configure the upstairs ducting into two zones. Garrett worked to beat the best quote I had. The Grove installation team was top-notch (very professional and hard working). Not once did I see them sitting or standing around. They worked non-stop from the time they arrived on site to the time they left. When the installation was completed, they cleaned, swept, and vacuumed the areas they were working. After the installation, I received two follow-up calls to check on how the unit was working and whether I had any questions. The zone installation and new unit has made a significant improvement to my upstairs rooms. Completely satisfied and would definitely recommend Grove to anyone needing a HVAC contractor."

"The sales person, sold me a 15.5 seer heat pump and and the model it says 14.0 seer, so I asked the technician and he told me that, with both systems equal to 15.5 seer. I wanted to see 15.5 seer on the machine specifications but it does not said. So at this point, I donâ t know if the system installed at my house was 14.0 or 15.5 seer."

"Within an hour of purchasing the advertised special, Henry from B A R called us to set up an appointment for service. He seemed knowledgeable and showed up promptly to our appointed time. After working on the unit for about an hour he determined that the unit had died and there was no hope reviving it - it was 14 years old after all. WIthin a few days Henry was back and installed our new unit. Around the time he installed our unit, our second unit died. We had him replace it as well. The work was done in a timely manner and we have been completely satisfied. We would definitely hire B A R Appliances again for our HVAC needs."

FAQs for central humidifier installation and replacement projects in West River, MD

A crawl space dehumidifier is a worthwhile investment, particularly in humid climates or if you've noticed musty odors, mold growth, or wood deterioration. Though costs range from $3,000 to $9,200, this investment helps prevent structural damage that could require far more expensive repairs later. Beyond structural protection, a properly dehumidified crawl space contributes to better overall indoor air quality and may reduce allergens throughout your home. Consider having a professional assessment to determine if your specific situation warrants this investment.

Addressing crawl space moisture effectively often requires a combination of solutions. A complete approach includes encapsulation plus dehumidifier installation. For minor moisture issues, a basic dehumidifier starting at $1,500 may suffice, while severe problems in larger spaces could require systems costing up to $14,000. The most effective moisture control strategy depends on your specific conditions, making a professional assessment valuable for determining the most cost-effective approach for your situation.

For a crawl space measuring 1,500 square feet, you'll need a dehumidifier with a daily capacity of 30 to 50 pints, with unit costs ranging from $150 to $600. Your local climate and existing moisture levels may necessitate adjusting this capacity—homes in particularly humid regions might benefit from higher-capacity units. Professional installers can measure your specific humidity conditions and recommend equipment that is appropriately sized, balancing initial cost with operating efficiency for your unique situation.

Crawl space dehumidifiers add $300 to $500 to your annual electricity expenses when operating continuously. Energy-efficient models reduce this consumption by roughly 15 to 30% compared to standard units. Most contemporary dehumidifiers feature humidity sensors that automatically cycle operation based on current conditions, helping manage energy usage. Proper crawl space encapsulation significantly improves efficiency by creating a controlled environment that requires less dehumidifier runtime, thereby reducing ongoing electricity costs.
