"New installation went well. I was a little upset that only 50% was covered being that the unit was 19 years old. I'm sure that parts for something that old would be hard to find. Replacement was recommended."

"Got my ductwork cleaned out and replace 23 outlet covers. All done in record time. Very friendly and professional and explained the whole process as he went and showed me all the junk that came out of my ducts. Cleaned up as he went along and couldn't even tell he had been here except that there's no dust floating around in the air now."

"I had them for 2 or 3 years. It's an insurance that you pay $30.00 or $40.00 a month. If you have any problems, you call, and they send somebody out to do the work. They charge you monthly. No matter what the problem is, the guy that comes out charges you $60.00. Weather he has to replace you refrigerator or water heater or what ever, he only charges $60.00. If it's your refrigerator, that is what they work on. If it's heating and air conditioning, that is what they work on. I don't know where they get their list of people to do their work, but the people agreed to only charge $60.00. I guess they pay them something, I don't know. Over all it's comforting to know that you have somebody  you can make one phone call to for several different things that might be wrong. It's kind of warming to know that you have that kind of service to back you up."

"I was having difficulty getting my central air heating and cooling system replaced in my 13-year old house trailer. My air-conditioning had gone out the previous fall and the furnace was not doing very well. I wasn't taken seriously until I contacted Sears. Sears had my old central air system removed and replaced within a month or so and now I'm enjoying air conditioning during Kentucky's August extreme heat season."

"Barnes replaced both our heating and A/C units (this review site only lets you pick Furnace or A/C, both not both). Zane Barnes is honest, and easy to work with, and does excellent, careful, neat work at a very fair price. He calculated that my old system (22yr old, breaking down often) was also a little undersized and installed a system that does a better job heating and cooling, and more efficient. We also had a google thermostat installed that I really like: I can control it from anywhere with my phone or a web browner, easily setup a weekly heating/cooling schedule that meets our needs, and that auto-adjusts to an efficient temp when it senses that we are gone (e.g. on vacay). Much more efficient than our previous thermostat that was very difficult to program. Saving $$s on gas bills these days is a great feelling!!"

FAQs for central humidifier installation and replacement projects in Wheatland, IN

A crawl space dehumidifier is a worthwhile investment, particularly in humid climates or if you've noticed musty odors, mold growth, or wood deterioration. Though costs range from $3,000 to $9,200, this investment helps prevent structural damage that could require far more expensive repairs later. Beyond structural protection, a properly dehumidified crawl space contributes to better overall indoor air quality and may reduce allergens throughout your home. Consider having a professional assessment to determine if your specific situation warrants this investment.

Addressing crawl space moisture effectively often requires a combination of solutions. A complete approach includes encapsulation plus dehumidifier installation. For minor moisture issues, a basic dehumidifier starting at $1,500 may suffice, while severe problems in larger spaces could require systems costing up to $14,000. The most effective moisture control strategy depends on your specific conditions, making a professional assessment valuable for determining the most cost-effective approach for your situation.

For a crawl space measuring 1,500 square feet, you'll need a dehumidifier with a daily capacity of 30 to 50 pints, with unit costs ranging from $150 to $600. Your local climate and existing moisture levels may necessitate adjusting this capacity—homes in particularly humid regions might benefit from higher-capacity units. Professional installers can measure your specific humidity conditions and recommend equipment that is appropriately sized, balancing initial cost with operating efficiency for your unique situation.

Crawl space dehumidifiers add $300 to $500 to your annual electricity expenses when operating continuously. Energy-efficient models reduce this consumption by roughly 15 to 30% compared to standard units. Most contemporary dehumidifiers feature humidity sensors that automatically cycle operation based on current conditions, helping manage energy usage. Proper crawl space encapsulation significantly improves efficiency by creating a controlled environment that requires less dehumidifier runtime, thereby reducing ongoing electricity costs.
