Small jobs welcome

"Mike arrived at the scheduled time. Assessed the situation and agreed that the best option was a well pump replacement as my existing pump has a starting coil failure. He was able to pull the old pump and install the new one and sanitize the well within 2.5 hours. He advised that we run the water for a while to get the chlorine smell/taste out of the water, so we ran the sprinklers until not chlorine smell was noticeable and then let the water flow into the house. He made sure to clean up after and the total cost was reasonable and below what Home Advisor indicated. He is a knowledgeable Pro and I would recommend him to anyone."

"Responded quickly to inquiry, quick appointment for service. Number 1 honest. I had low water pressure. They gave me an over the phone walk through. Turned out to be a filter. They could have charged me to come out and do the same. Instead I replaced my filter and I hired them to replace my well pump after their free onsite quote. Honesty is lost today but you can find it with Morris well drilling."

"Andrew and his wife (the "boss" as Andrew put it) were a pleasure to deal with. Andrew provided a product that was sensitive to cost but works well, at least so far. They were prompt, worked hard and cleaned up beautifully. My sense is that they are extremely honest and not looking to sell customers something they do no need. If you need basement waterproofing, call this company."

"The guys from 4-Ever Water-Tite were great! Prior to contracting 4-Ever Water-Tite, I had problems with water and excess moisture in my basement. My basement walls were also pushing in laterally. They put in a perimeter drain system and a new sump pump. They also installed steel support beams to support the walls. I am happy to report that it has now been a full year since 4-Ever Water-Tite worked on waterproofing my basement and it has remained dry. I highly recommend this company."

FAQs for well pump installation and replacement projects in Whitmore Lake, MI

Signs that your well pressure tank requires replacement include inconsistent water pressure, your pump turning on and off frequently (known as short cycling), visible leaks around the tank, or unusual noises from your well system. Physical damage, corrosion, or a tank that's reached its seven to 10-year expected lifespan may also indicate it's time for replacement. When multiple issues arise simultaneously, replacement often proves more economical than attempting repairs.

The timeframe for professional well pressure tank replacement varies depending on your specific system and any complications that might arise during installation. Factors that can affect installation time include accessibility of your current tank, whether additional components need replacement, and the complexity of your well system. For precise timing expectations, consult with the professional handling your installation.

Attempting to replace your well pressure tank involves several potential risks, including improper pressure calibration that could damage your pump, contamination of your water supply, and physical injury from handling heavy equipment. Additionally, incorrect installation might lead to water leaks, property damage, or system inefficiency. Many manufacturers also specify that professional installation is required to maintain warranty coverage, making the $125 to $200 professional installation fee a worthwhile investment for most homeowners.
