Since our humble beginnings as the “Little Plumber" back in 1922, Dunstan & Son Plumbing Company has maintained a singular mission to bring dependable, friendly, professional-grade service to Lake and Sumter counties’ cities and towns, including The Villages, Plantation, Highland Lakes, Royal Highlands and so many others. When the Dunstans retired, they entrusted their namesake business to established local plumber John Snyder, knowing he would continue the company’s long-standing reputation of honest, outstanding service. \n\nThough the company’s workforce has grown to more than 20 employees, Dunstan & Son still has the feel of the neighborhood business it was in its beginnings. During business hours, you will always reach a caring person when you call – never an automated routing system. And because we’re local, we understand the particular plumbing demands of Central Florida homes and buildings – and their owners.\n\nTo ensure that we keep our flawless record with both the Better Business Bureau and our customers, each and every employee, from our plumbers and customer service reps to our administrative staff, undergoes a rigorous background check and is regularly drug-screened in accordance with our zero tolerance policy. Whether a Dunstan & Son employee is in your home or helping you in the showroom, you can trust them to provide exceptional assistance every time.\nNo subs. Cost is determined by the job. "It's always a pleasure to work with Vail Plumbing, thanks! Easy to find on the Web for scheduling service, great follow-up and communications prior to work done, with on-site jobbing both professional and cordial. Today we worked with Mark and his assistant technician. Mark's done jobs for us before, so he knows us and our property. Overall great job, thanks!"

"It did not go well. The tech arrived and proceeded to use the camera to diagnose the problem. He never called and have me a price estimate to do that. He told my tenant that I had broken pipes under the house. When I called Meeks and asked for the footage so that I could possibly do a trenchless repair and not year up my floor they said that he did not make a record because no one requested it. I called for a stopped up toilet. A salesman named Scott did not return my calls for two days to tell me that there was no footage from the camera. They never sent me an itemized bill. I found out how much they charged when it showed up on my credit card . Basically they did nothing of value for 675 dollars. Bonnie Ollinger"

"Prime PLumbing is the worst plumber I've ever hired in my 76 years. Their "technician" twisted a hose bib with a pipe wrench, causing a break in the wall behind it. Water immediately began leaking onto the patio. 27 hours later we determined what he had done. Now the damage is $30,000 and going higher. And so much grief with our home turned upside down due to his incompetence. They never responded in any way to our calls to their "emergency" number, or to our letters. ServPro was here 24/7 for 5 days drying out drywall and floors. Hardwood floors ruined. Prime should not be in business."

"1-Star Review: LCI Plumbing Services - Unnecessary Services, Overcharging, and Aggressive UpsellingDo not recommend LCI Plumbing Services (Loxahatchee, FL area).Called for an emergency septic backup. They charged a $175 after-hours call-out fee, then strongly recommended hydro-jetting as the ?better clean? over rodding. I agreed and paid $475 for the jetting. It was completely unnecessary and ineffective?the backup didn?t improve at all.The technician immediately declared the entire system ?beyond repair? without ever running a camera scope. He then charged another $100 to ?locate and inspect? the tank?despite the lid being already fully exposed and accessible. All he did was poke a shovel in once and record a short video. Total bill: $750 for zero resolution. The next day came aggressive follow-ups pushing a full replacement with written estimate totaling $18,050:Materials for drain field & sod: $3,200 Arc-24 drain field installation: $12,000 New 1250-gallon poly tank & install: $2,85"

FAQs for gas piping projects in Yalaha, FL

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
