"I've used Seatown for several different service calls. By far the most major one was a partial rewire that replaced some knob and tube wiring. There are several reasons why I view the as an excellent company: - Their administrative and dispatch system is efficiently and competently run. Phone calls during business hours are answered quickly (I've never been on hold for more than a minute or so), they usually have good availability, and the phone operator takes plenty of notes during your phone call which are then communicated to your technician who then has ample context on your problem right up front. - All of the technicians I've worked with have been friendly, communicative, and professional. It always seemed like they know what they're doing. Also, they will patiently explain to you what's causing your issue and what they did to resolve it. - I want to particularly call out Micah, the technician in charge of my rewire project, who was outstanding. He initially came out to diagnose why a couple of circuit breakers were constantly tripping, and identified the need to rewire my garage, office, furnace, and one bedroom. He wrote me an estimate, which I later compared to other companies' and turned out to be quite reasonable. Between my shopping around and heavy holiday demand, it wound up being a few weeks before the rewire was completed. In the intervening time, the circuits tripped a few more times. When I notified Micah of this, he offered to personally come over to further troubleshoot the problem - on Christmas Day - despite Seatown being closed! Micah also found a way to complete the rewire with almost no interior drywall damage. Finally, he was particularly helpful in answering my many questions about my home's electrical system, both before and after the rewire. Micah's combination of professional competence and personal empathy is very uncommon and exemplary. If you hire Seatown for any major electrical work, try to get Micah as your technician. While I am overall very satisfied with Seatown, there are a couple areas that I think could be improved: - At one point between Micah's initial estimate and the start of the rewire project, the circuit connecting my furnace gave out. This was on December 23rd, and I was concerned about my house not having heat. I e-mailed Seatown's emergency mailbox requesting someone come out requesting emergency service, but did not receive a response until December 27th. The office being closed for the holidays is completely understandable, but if you're going to have an emergency mailbox then you should be able to respond to it promptly 24/7, or at least have some kind of auto-reply that sets expectations on when a human can respond. - For relatively minor calls, their service visit fee is quite inelastic relative to the work that is actually done. By which I mean, I've paid about $300 every time they send an electrician out (other than the rewire), regardless of whether they did significant work like replace damaged, bare wire in my breaker panel, or just tell me not to use a space heater. It probably evens out in the long run, but each service call is a bit of a crap shoot on whether I'm going to feel like I got my money's worth. It seems to me to make more sense to charge a lower up-front visit fee, but then charge additionally for specific services rendered."

"Yelpers are finicky. Pacific Heating and Cooling did a great job for my wife and I. We had them do a duct cleaning several months ago and they were top shelf. Booties on while in the house and great care taken to take care of our stuff. As a result we decided to have a consult on adding AC. Greg Jackson came out and went over current system, crawled under the house to inspect ducting and somehow came back in the house clean and wearing booties to go over our options. After a thorough review of what we had, asking about our goals and what we were most concerned with he developed three proposals. No pressure, no "today only" pricing, just a conversation. We chose to replace our okay furnace with an upgraded 96% efficiency furnace and added AC to our 1500 sq foot home. The price was about what I was expecting and they were able to begin installation the following week. Josh, Zach, Chance and Sean were all friendly, efficient, caring and concerned about doing a great job. They cleaned up constantly, kept us informed when having to turn off power let us know. "First started working with Joe getting a quote got 2 bids which the other was cheaper, but decided to get ranger since Mitsubishi is the “top line” he said which I googled and saw it too. We talked that he will put the drainage on the car port and the vent on the side of the house. So when the date of installment came Daniel was on time and he introduce himself. I let him do his job while I was doing my own with my 3yrs and 5 yrs kids. The job was quick so when I check outside I saw that the vent was mounted on my carport. So I called Joe and ask why it was mounted on my carport he said it was in the contract which I didn’t see on the instruction. And so I have to pay if we move it. I was so disappointed! Now I can’t close my carport if I want to get a garage since vent is there. So I have no choice if only Daniel check with me first right from the start what the plan is then there will be no problem! Well the job was done got no choice. Another thing Daniel have to come back two times to fix the drainage since it keeps on leaking my carport. It was finally fixed on the 3rd time when Jared was the tech that fix it. It was so disappointing and I regret that I chose ranger cooking and heating!"

"Our Heat pump was not providing cold air so I called for a repair person to come out and fix it. Evergreen was able to provide me same day service which was impressive and the tech Alec Smith was very professional and skilled. He had the main issue diagnosed within probably 20 minutes and had a replacement part on hand. My complaint with Evergreen and this is probably common throughout the industry is the markup they put on those replacement parts. I needed a dual run Capacitor for which I was charged approximately $175 dollars. After doing a little research I found that this is a $21 part from Grainger or Amazon. That's one **** of a mark-up. I can tolerate a mark-up because of the convenience but I feel 800% is excessive."

"Everything went well and smooth with their help. I got the proposal with all details at the same day when they came to do the estimate. Our old furnace was built on 1971, and it was in a closet next to the water heater tank. When one other company came to estimate, they wanted to cut a furnace size hole on the wall facing the hallway to fit the machine and we have to find a constructor or handy man to finish, like to build a door or make it look good, but G&S figured out an easy way, which is to turn the machine toward another direction and eventually only cut a vent on the wall. It took two days for all the installation, and they cleaned up when they left and everything looked clean and nice. They also listened to customers. We didn't want the heat pump to be right next to the stairs of our deck, so they chose a spot which was few feet away from the closest spot without any question. We appreciate for that, since the wind blows out from heat pump is kind of strong, and we feel comfortable with where it is at now. One thing I really like is they were on time, and they called around 30 minutes ahead before them showed up. They also take care all the paperwork for the PUD rebate, Costco 10% shop card, and city permits, and all we do is waiting their call to arrange the time."

They took the time to actually pick up some empty water bottles and trash that a previous work crew had carelessly left in the yard. The unit is working great and I am amazed at the gallons of humidity it has removed from my home. I compare this to another big name company that I used to install air conditioning in my previous home. I went with the price and the big name. But I have learned that in central air it is really the installation that matters. My previous unit failed inspection and they had to come out and fix problems. When the fan came on there was a big 'bang' from the plenum over the furnace bulging out. They had not allowed a large enough air opening to get to the furnace so there was a whistling sound. Sure, it cooled the house but you really knew when it came on. I highly recommend Mercurio's for their installation work especially."
