"The gentleman arrived on time as scheduled. I had several plumbing issues to be addressed including replacing the main sump pump, addressing a faucet line leak as well as the bath tub drain leak. I had shared these with the plumber before arrival. I figured two hours was sufficient with a professional plumber at the helm. The gentleman suggested that we take care of the sump pump replacement first. I had bought the pump and the replacement check valve since the valve was malfunctioning.
The gentleman tried to convince me not to replace the sump pump. I had to reiterate several times that I had bought the replacement pump for a reason and that I had to get it done. After the old sump pump was dismantled, the plumber left to get 1.5 inch PVC and the sump pump discharge adapter needed for the new pump. I thought he had them on his truck but he was gone for over an hour. I called him to insure that he had stopped the clock and he had done so.
The next leg involved repositioning the sump pump since it was a little wider than the old one, as well as repositioning the backup sump pump ( I have a battery backup sump pump). I noticed that the check valve on the backup sump pump looked crooked with all the repositioning and when inquired, I was told that it was fine and that the check valve was supposed to do that.
Unfortunately, when the work was done I was told I only had 8 minutes left on the clock. It was perhaps my mistake not tracking the time but I still think it could have been better. Because of the time issue I did not get to address anything else.
However within 15-30 minutes after the plumber left, my water alarm went off and I ran to the basement to notice that the backup sump pump check was had broken loose and the main sump pump was pumping water only to have it come back to the pit. This created a loop and with the 1/3 HP new pump it created an enormous water fountain and it had filled the basement area with about 3/4 inch water. I cut off power to the main pump and called the plumber only to be told he was in another part of town and that I have to call emergency services. I realized that when the backup sump pump was moved around, the check valve had come loose and by not checking it the setup was compromised. I ended up using a shop vac to evacuate the sump and disconnected the backup sump for the interim until a new check valve was put in place.
I temporarily blocked the discharge line of the backup sump with an end cap and replaced the backup sump check valve with a new Zoeller valve which I installed myself the next day.
In the end I was hoping that the plumber would have addressed my plumbing issues considering I had 2 hours and the fact that I was dealing with a professional and not a DIY like myself. I was however disappointed especially after the backup sump check valve break and the subsequent water. I will summarize my plus and minus points and you be the judge. As for me, I will likely not use them again.

* Not helpful when called following an immediate problem directly linked to the job but rather pointed me to get emergency help
* In my case, I felt like I did not get my money's worth for the coupon and I spent more time and money fixing.
While I gave good review to the plumber when presented with a review paper right before he left (I felt a little pressured), it does not change the fact that negatives outweighed the positives. Normally companies do more during such coupon offers so as to procure new customers but in this case it was the opposite.
